Very professional performance, Rodri has really kicked on this season. Great to see Palmer start and Mcatee come on, Pep doesn't hand out appearances for free to the younger players or even established 1st team players so they must really be impressing in training.
I think he just tried to be too clever and attempted to take it round Tiny arms but his shite touch let him down. Was poor decision making, just fucking put it in the net and job done.You are Raheem’s mum and I claim my £5 !
Tbf he's not alone when trying to be a bit too cute in front of goal, there's been a couple of occasions already this season where an extra touch has seen a chance wasted.

Not quite, but get the sentiment...Okay tin hat well and truly on. Personally I think Palmer is a good player nothing more. Nowhere near the standards of Foden. Thought he wasn’t great today but played in a different position. You need all kinds of different type of players in a team. Some stand out more, some are just as effective but do not stand out as much. Again purely personal, but I like exciting players that get bums off seats. I used to love the clatter of seats when Leroy got the ball as everyone got up to see him dancing past defenders. Whilst we have some great players, Mcatee is a young and exciting type of player. Just lit the game up when he came on. Such an exciting talent and we would be crazy not to get this guy on the bench and tied to a new contract. I would much prefer to see Mcatee trying his ‘fancy stuff‘ and being entertained than a slow pedestrian buildup. We are a very good side and a different type of side than previous seasons, but no where near as exciting as previous sides. That first half was a tough watch opposition aside. Mcatee did more to worry the Everton defence in a five minutes cameo, than Mahrez in all his minutes on the pitch. This lad should be in the bench now every game, and long live his ‘fancy stuff‘. As the Jam said ‘It’s Entertainment’.

Do you watch the same games as everyone elseI don't get the love-in for Rodri. He benefits when teams like Everton come and sit deep. He literally has space in which to play.
The best defensive performer at City at the moment is imo John Stones. And the best forward: Bernardo.
The two most celebrated players: KDB and Grealish have been poor. IMO Sterling should retain his position when fit. KDB's potential is higher than anyone else so there is an argument to play him into form.

Admittedly an Everton side weakened by injuries but still fielding a defensive unit which can be resolute and determined disciplined by a manager prepared to defend flat out for 90 minutes. But another performance from City where the patience and control from City shone through and some of the football we played was exquisite and a real pleasure to watch. Of course Palmer and McAtee deserve special mention and I think Neville's remarks about them were genuine praise: here we have two more young lads who have grown up in a Pep club - professionalism learnt from the company of great professionals and football learned from endless repetition of how Pep wants football to be played. And Pep says there are four or five more like that ready to come through.

Just watching the match on City+. I'm too biased to have an objective view on the penalty decisions. The Sterling one was soft and shouldn't have been given but you're right it shouldn't have been overturned.Anyone got a clip of the possible penalties on Silva and Gundo? One on Sterling once given shouldn't have been reversed as no clear and obvious error. Clearly contact and a shoulder grab. At the very worse it was a free kick on the edge. Another Benitez masterclass of playing a 4 6 0, what on earth was he thinking...
Gundogan was bounced off the ball by Iwobi, body to body. Probably wasn't a pen but I'd have wanted one. Bernardo was kicked on the bottom of his foot when it was in the air. Think Walker had one the same given against him last season. It was difficult for the on field ref to see but I'm pretty sure VAR was in operation yesterday

you got all that from a 2 min cameo where he touched the ball less than 10 times?
Palmers the real deal, so is Mcatee.

Been in the Plaza in Stockport to watch an old film, they do it there too, and every one stands up and waits for it to finish before leaving.definitely don't do it at the Light Cinema in Stockport :-)

In other news: The Titanic hit an iceberg and City moved to a new ground.How bad was it to see all the empty seats with folk leaving so early before the final whistle
It's been the same at almost every home match since leaving Maine Road.
Old guy (like me), two seats down (Block 212) got cut by a 2p scouse coin near the end of the game, reported to the stewards but don't see what can be done really. Me and my mate have both been hit during games against Rags and Red dippers in that area, I think they come down from the 3rd Tier. United fans throw 10 pence pieces but the Liverpool fans were throwing £1 coins, so didn't mind that. :)

It wasn't a slur when it was said of Deschamps, and likewise towards Bernie.
Difference being, Bernie is a water carrier, a supercharger and so many other things all rolled into one.
