I can't remember an everton side who played good attractive open football.

I bet the last time was when Ball Kendall and Harvey ran the midfield in the late 60s!

When John Stones played for them and skillfully played the ball out from the back ,the home fans
screamed at him to launch it into row Z.
Ugly team, ugly football and from a personal experience, not very nice fans .
Hope we smash them to bits tbh.

The eighties team Kendall managed with Colin Harvey was a good side, mate. Trevor Steven, Kevin Sheedy, Peter Reid and that lot.

The only good thing about their fans is at least they aren’t liverpool.

I can remember a really bitterly cold night game v everton at home under Mancini
It was absolutely freezing. Cant remember the score but got a feeling Tim Cahill scored for them.
Cahill always seemed to score against us .
Yep it was a Monday night game just before Christmas and we lost 2-1. It was minus 8 that night!

A 0-0 draw at Coventrys Highfield Road was probably the coldest I've even been at a football match .... there was nothing of any real value in the match, and only frozen solid feet in my shoes!

Both Bobb and Haaland stand every chance of being selected by Pep for the Everton game though ... by all means keep our players in the Norwegian set up for a meaningless friendly such as Nypan, the yound lad on loan at Boro, but not important first teamers who COULD be easily be sent back as the game has no significance .... if Bobb did his injury again in that meaningless friendly and was missing again for the next 4-6 months then I definitely would not definitely consider it worthwhile, and I'd like to listen to the Norwegian managers explanation as to how he DID consider it worthwhile, and especially as he would be missing from THEIR own squad for the next few internationals!!
Calm down.

Who was the manager of Everton that game where they openly just tried to kick big Erl off the park and he got very frustrated with it all

Expect more of the same this game.
I think it was super Frank Lampard. Think it finished 1-1. Reckon a few Everton players developed “Farmer Giles” from lying down on the turf at every opportunity.Very frustrating game to watch.

Yeah I know they were a very good side watched them loads of times but they were still more of a hard running powerful side who generally over powered teams iirc

The odd Kevin sheedy wonder goal ,but an athletic' get stuck in ' side none the less.
With a brilliant keeper in Southall.

Was at goodison when they beat us in the league cup quarter final when we were still a 2nd div team under Machin. Lost 2nil, simply over powered us. 87/88 season.

Perhaps I'm being a little harsh, lol, still bitter at losing that match after all these years !!

Because Grealish carried such a goal threat for us didn't he... can't believe the stick Bernardo is getting, current form or not I'll never turn on him, he's a fucking legend and been integral to our success under Pep
Yup but in the end being a big critic of why we play so slow and offer zero non - threat. He is a big reason of this. Time moves on

Your mind plays tricks as you get older, I thought Cahill’s annual last minute headed winner pre dated Mancini by years but I could be wrong

The famous "Alan" game vs RB Salzburg in the Europa League was unbelievably cold. Think it's was around -6/7c.

Me and my dad drank Bovril all game
