So if this is the case we have sold 49,000 tickets at this present moment - Colin Bell upper Tier holds 5,500.

If it goes on sale - (I will gobsmacked if it doesn't) Then we will come very close to a sell out with on the day sales and sales later today.

I am going to phone the ticket office now and ask them if CB Tier 3 is going on sale - will update in next half hour.

Yes it was. City's first League Cup semi and it had about 16000 in a 63,000 capacity venue. Wonder if anyone questioned the loyalty of fans? Mind you City's crowds were dropping significantly around this time.

Thanks for the confirmation, I seem to remember the excitement at getting so close to a final plus the bragging rights with the rags in them day made a big difference at school!
