Everton (home) Semi Final Tickets

Well City are now officially missing out on sales as there is nothing left but a couple of restricted view on the front row, which many wouldn't buy and would decide to watch on telly.

Poor planning this.

I don't know why they haven't opened it so far - there have been instances in the past when they've said it would be closed but have then opened it up on the planner as the rest of the ground got close to selling out.

Did all the options - stayed at number 1 in the queue for ages and then some twat answered and put the phone straight down!

Shit club!
Bring back Garry Cooke!
Where is that Club Disconnect thread!!
Can't believe it. I keep logging back in just for your update!! They must have known it was you!

They would be crazy not to open it if the seat planner is accurate - although it often doesn't include everything and there could be loads of seats pop up in the lower tier of the Colin Bell.

But if that isn't the case they will certainly bang it on sale now because there will be thousands of sales over the next 30 hours. It could even sell out.

The top clubs didn't enter the League Cup in the early years and if they did many would put out a reserve team.

The first final was between Villa and Rotherham and the second between Norwich and Rochdale.

That season City beat a Leeds United reserve team 3-1 in the League Cup 4th Round at Maine Road in front of 10,984 while they had 29,186 for the corresponding League fixture.

It only started to gain credibility when they switched the Final to Wembley instead of running it over two legs.

Maybe they should run the semi-final as a single match, the home team determined by draw.
A couple of history points worth adding... The first manager to win the League Cup was, of course, Joe Mercer at Villa. The 'big' clubs did boycott the competition but, and this is always worth remembering MUFC did enter the first ever LC campaign. In fact, and I don't have the dates on me but pretty certain, United were knocked out if the competition before Zcity had even played their first game.

The 1969-70 was the first season all 92 league clubs entered and, well I never, the team with 'no history' won it.

Someone I know says they won't open the 3rd tier now because of the stewarding and policing needed - they have done it too late

Opinions ?
I wondered about that but they must surely have had contingiency plans for this eventuality. I remember a game last year or the one before where they opened up the CB3 on the night of the game and there were a thousand or so in.
