I would love to know their rationale for only making small sections of CB 3 available. I can vaguely understand filling the lower tiers first but sales have been very quick over the last couple of days and the experience of CL games would suggest many fans wait until the last minute. Just open the whole stand!

Is it so that they only have to open a couple of bars, fewer stewards etc?

Two possibilities mate.

It's either a very carefully planned exact strategy OR

It's all ad hoc and no-one knows wtf they are doing

To be honest mate, I don't think it will be someone in the ticket office making decisions on which blocks and which seats to make available and when. It's probably automated so the most in demand blocks go on sale first, and as they start to sell out, the software automatically starts releasing extra seats to cater to demand. I think the people in the ticket office will be using pretty much the same software as us, they'll only be able to sell tickets that show up as available on the planner. If the 3 centre blocks on CB3 sell out, the other blocks might get released, but I very much doubt the people answering the phones in the ticket office have any say in it whatsoever.

Hope on Thursday that there is not loads of "fans" moaning about having to queue for 65 min to buy a ticket and not getting in the ground until almost half time. Tickets for this game have been on sale for weeks.

Sadly, there are many who still have a touching but entirely misplaced belief in the efficacy of our ticket office, despite mounds of evidence over the years that should convince them otherwise,

The general staff are alright ,its the cretins,that oversee them who are the problem.

I hope they do open the CBL3 - I think they probably can't be bothered with the headache of people moving back to their SC seats. But if it gets another thousand blues in surely the money makes it worth it.
