Everton Post Match Thread

Fuck it. I'm off. Disappointing night all round what with the pen and the twat ref.

But hey, we're only 3 off the top with 51 points still to play for. Mind you, we really should be about 9-10 points ahead by now (maybe more) with the squad we've got. COYB. CTID.

Night all.

You for real? Sterling fell exactly like he always does, refs are having none of it and this time they were wrong which is shit. To go into more detail, the way Stones comes in fro m behind, you'd expect to fall back onto the defender but Sterling fell forwards, with his leg hanging back, like he does usually so I can see why a ref would be hesitant but it was a pen and the ref got it wrong.
He needs to take a look at depay. Grab both legs and form the cannonball position then jump six feet in the air.

He was running forward, no way he falls backwards.

And yet another none blue spouting shite

No idea why so many of these are allowed to stay, it is ruining the forum, coming to the point i can't be arsed with coming anymore.
All i seem to do is be exasperated at the unmerited attitude towards the club or individuals by certain posters (i won't call them fans because i really do not think they are) recently, it is hard not to be.

Fuck me ive heard it all now.

We now have folk analysing and commenting on how a player should fall under contact for it to be given.

Much like the unnatural arm/hand argument they tout now to give penalties as and when it suits despite the law being deliberate handball and nothing to do with arm position being unnatural.

Danny Mills

Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 live

Everton survived a late penalty shout after John Stones appeared to foul Raheem Sterling. Danny Mills isn't impressed.

"You can see John Stones after the game laughing and joking.

"He knows he's got away with that one."

When the FBI finish with Fifa can they pop over to the PL. Blatant penalties every week not given by different refs. Something stinks. Mistakes happen but not on the scale its happening to us. About time the club highlighted this
I do think we are a bit too nice as dubblue has said - you know - accepting the refs decisions in a so called professional way but the sad fact is that it gets you nowhere . Sad that officials in general can't be full of courage and integrity and give the correct call no matter what the consequences are , in the interests of fairness and natural justice . Posters have said the club needs to highlight it more and I think that is something that now definitely needs to be looked at. It's something which we can create ourselves by stirring a storm on here firstly and then hopefully the club itself can make a few inquires . At least do something and afterwards inform the media that letters / inquiries / queries / meetings etc or whatever are being made to the premier league officialdom . It's got to done subtlely and handled properly but obviously something should be done and fairly swiftly .
So frustrating ....

Football would be a lot easier without Everton. They're a very frustrating team, they nearly always seem to take points from us.

However, we really should be all over the media telling anyone who will listen, and many who don't want to, that we are being denied definite penalties.

Referees need to be made to feel under intense pressure to award us penalties, just like Ferguson made them feel at the swamp, and Mourinho used to before he lost it this season.
