Surprised at so much negativity on here. I can understand being sensibly cautious and not being cocky and arrogant like liverpool fans were being, BUT we need to understand that our players will be completely up for this; they know that we had almost certainly lost our chance of the title when we were unlucky at anfield and drew at home to Sunderland, they have now been given an unexpected chance to win the league, do you really think these players are going to easily let that chance slip away? We can of course draw or lose, as any team can in any match, but we have big game players, and they will be completely up for this big game, whereas everton's players know that it is extremely unlikely that arsenal will fail to beat both west brom and Norwich, and that they blew their chances against palace and Southampton. The like of Yaya, Sergio, Vinnie, Zabba, Joe etc know what is needed

As was mentioned earlier, this is exactly analogous to the Newcastle game in 2012. In fact they were in better form, having just won at Stamford Bridge with Cisse scoring a goal that still boggles my mind.

Another thing is assuming Silva plays (which seems likely), we are going to be at full strength for the first time since probably November or so. I think that's a huge boost for us. Aguero-Toure-Silva in tandem with an in-form Dzeko is a powerful quartet and I feel sure we will create plenty of chances. Just have to keep our nerve and take them, and defend solidly as we did against Palace.

And Everton are not at full strength. Missing Barry, Distin and Moralles for sure - and not clear how match-fit Jagielka will be. I'm not counting any chickens, but I think we have a really good chance of winning - and if we do, I think Liverpool are going to feel their balls in a vice come Mon eve at Selhurts Park.

saturday can't come quick enough

I remember Leeds coming to Maine Road when they were going for the title against the rags. We battered them 4-0 and all I cared about was that City had won. We shouldn't expect anything less from Everton but we should remember that our players know what's required now. Big game. Big players. Big moments. Enjoy.

Kun is the key to this game.

He has been moving through the gears since he came back from injury. You get the sense that he has been playing a little cautiously because of his concern about being injured again pre World Cup.

However I get the feeling that he is ready to hit top gear for this game.

I am confident that with him leading the line with Ed (I expect them to team up again), we will produce the goods on the weekend.

Lately we have been playing good football either side of halftime. At Everton we need to play well for the full 90 minutes and start like we did at Spurs and United. Two big awaygames where we scored early and played the kind of football that did send out a message we would not give away anything on the day. We can do that and we need to do it on Saturday.

Btw, did anyone reckognized the digg at Moyes from Dzeko (although I doubt he knew anything about it ...) when he said at the Palace postmatch comment Everton were now playing another style, more technical, more football. Dzeko is right and Moyes always made it a cupfinal for his team when we played them ever since the Lescott-transfer. I expect it to be different as well, without saying (or thinking) we will win. Stats don't tell the truth all the time, but they are not in our favour for sure.

Anyways, we need 3 points more than them, we chase a bigger goal than them and at least on paper we have a better team than them. How we get 3 points and with what scoreline I couldn't care less, as long as we take all 3 home. Meanwhile I will grow another 10 years in the next few days ... love it, hate it.

Now thats a decent stat especially with the fact that the teams they lost to wouldnt have a midfield like ours Toure Fernan Silva (apart from the loss to us at ours). Hopefully Mcarthy Osman and whoever else they play centre mid get ripped apart by our power, pace and pure class

Hey lads. Do we all expect kolarov to be benched Vs Everton and start Vs Villa?

The Club are twattering some "One Club, One Team" or #OneClubOneTeam thing, I thought we had 3 clubs and a shitload of teams?
