Since ferguson did it with "kids" last time the PL playing field is very different now.
They still had players around them to help show them the ropes and look after them on the pitch.
Now the pressure will be on them to perform week in,week out...they simply aren't good enough in today's league.

We had the same thing in the 80's with Lake,Hinchcliffe etc.
They were quality,but didn't have enough quality around them to carry them when they dipped in form.We couldn't afford to go out and buy a top player to help them,unlike the rags.


But hey....If united fans want to believe some romantic notion that it's the mid 90's again and average players like Welbeck and Gibson alone will win them the PL title, then crack must be even cheaper than I thought.

Most rag fans I know understand what is going on and are not happy. It's only the numpty fans who buy into what fergie and gill say.

united paid 28,000,000 mil for sebastian veron. was that not an over inflated price. this kids thing is imo a smoke screen but not an effective one.

i cant believe you genuinely believe this is your reason for not spending to rebuild. your not rebuilding because the glaziers are milking your club dry.

your team have a track record for buying in exspensive recruits like we are doing now, but at a faster rate than you have probably ever done.

The thing is, it will be sorted out soon, back to normal, the fair play rules will start to bite.

Oh yeah the old fair play rules chestnut....the one where a club with 76000 capacity competes fairly with teams like Fulham & every other club with capacities less than 30000 or even 40000...
