Since ferguson did it with "kids" last time the PL playing field is very different now.
They still had players around them to help show them the ropes and look after them on the pitch.
Now the pressure will be on them to perform week in,week out...they simply aren't good enough in today's league.

We had the same thing in the 80's with Lake,Hinchcliffe etc.
They were quality,but didn't have enough quality around them to carry them when they dipped in form.We couldn't afford to go out and buy a top player to help them,unlike the rags.


But hey....If united fans want to believe some romantic notion that it's the mid 90's again and average players like Welbeck and Gibson alone will win them the PL title, then crack must be even cheaper than I thought.

Its called a football team, thats why they win stuff, it's something you can't buy.

united paid 28,000,000 mil for sebastian veron. was that not an over inflated price. this kids thing is imo a smoke screen but not an effective one.

i cant believe you genuinely believe this is your reason for not spending to rebuild. your not rebuilding because the glaziers are milking your club dry.

I've heard this myth regurgitated on grand old team too, bloody ell it doesn't even take much research to find out that the FFP rules, at least as far as City are concerned, are pretty much toothless.

Is this because it shows the level of hypocrisy at the self proclaimed 'worlds biggest club' Just cherry pick the bits you like and ignore the other remarks. I think you'll find the dictionary definition for such thinking would come under the word 'deluded'

I can't help what someone thinks, some left the club to start a new one, some are happy and some are not, not everybody wears the newton heath colours.

hootles im on about ,the decline since you had to let winker go,and how you couldnt afford TEV ,the financial state at owed t,is crippling ,i dont think you o.s sufferers get it,its going to get an awful lot worse before it gets any better,loving it.

Oh dear.And here's me thinking that united had consistantly cherry picked the best players-the ones everyone else wanted but couldn't afford or attract-for the last 20 years.
