Great afternoon, watched in a pub with my then brother-in-law Oldham fan, it was heaving with rags.Yes, but wasn't it enjoyable? The legend that is Paul Rideout, and big Joe as the manager.

Whilst i have no ill feeling towards everton, my enemies enemy is my friend and all that, plus in the 80s i always wanted them to win the league when we were never going to do so and to stop rags/dippers winning it .. i also have always thought they need to be relegated at some point after cheating relegation when hans segers took the bung in that last game of the season.

Lot of urban myths about that game - not one of the goals went through his legs. First was a penalty, he went the wrong way.
Second was a screamer that went in off the post high in the net
Third was possibly debatable on how well sighted he was, went to the right of a diving Segers.

regardless i thought segers was bang to rights and found guilty?
