Looking at everton's fixture list I dont know guys, there might be three worse teams, but everton have lost to all of them and having a look at the remaining fixtures they are probably gonna have to beat a top 7 side to stay up. And that's if they take maximum against all their relegation rivals which im not sure they wil ldo either.

Was never convinced by Lampard. Thought he was rubbish at Chelsea with zero defensive organisation.

Their shape off the ball is terrible, on the ball they're sideways and they've zero pace to even try and stretch teams.

I don't think they'll go down, but that was as bad a performance as they served up under Rafa last night.

Posted the below back in October:

outside of the Rags, Everton must have wasted the most money in the league since their takeover. Just had a look, Moshiri bought 49.9% in February 2016, since then they've spent just over £500m gross on:

Stekelenburg, Gueye, Ashley Williams, Bolasie, Calvert-Lewin, Lookman, Schneiderlin, Klaasen, Onyekeru, Pickford, Keane, Sandro, Bowler, Rooney, Martina, Sigurdsson, Vlasic, Tosun, Walcott, Richarlison, Digne, Bernard, Mina, Andre Gomes, Delph, Gbamin, Kean, Iwobi, Allan, James Rodriguez, Doucoure, Godfrey, Josh King, Gray, Townsend, Begovic and Rondon. 3 of the latter 4 were frees.
---

They since added Mykolenko and Patterson for another £29m combined and a potential £40m on Alli, so up to near £600m gross since the takeover. For a performance like that tonight.

Been thinking the same all season, I've never known a club to squander so much money over the years. For that investment they should be in 5th at least.

Goes to show money isn't everything, it is how the club is ran and how good recruitment / development is etc.

You can't polish turds, the players at Everton simply aren't good enough, the only thing that will save Everton is the complete and utter dross under them.

Will be some firesale if they do go down lol, you'd think pickford, DCL and Richarlison would all demand a move for their international hopes in a world cup year. Minimum. Everyone else is probably too shit to get a move, but those a gonna be some big wages in the championship for the likes of Michael Keane, Iwobi, Gomes, Allan, Coleman etc. All completely unsellable players. if they didn't come up immediately things could get bad.

Everton used to be a side of pretty unglamorous names that were pretty industrious and tough to beat. Solid top 6 side. On their day, capable of beating anyone, especially at home.

Nowadays though, they've fallen into the trap of buying players with big ego's on overinflated transfer fees and astronomical wages, and just haven't been able to mould them into a decent unit.

Money isn't everything ;)

they remind me a bit of bradford city the chairman admitted after relegation the buzz and media attention when signing players felt good
everton get loads of money and from buying safe good players beleived own hype and just signed players for buzz look at us

Amongst many issues at goodison the main one is bang average players on a decent wage and how to shift them. Who would buy the majority of that squad and some of the players believe their own hype. But they are on contracts and would sooner stay and sit on the bench and collect their wages. And who can blame them.
DCL offers little to a team that struggle to get the ball from a defence to attack.
Michael Keane should not be playing and the whole team need a good look at themselves. All we ask is that they put some effort in and try..I watch them and you can see they haven't a clue what to do on the pitch. Is that a training issue or are they just not good enough in this league.
Coleman telling the fans to calm down last night at the end of the game. " Yeah okay mate, we just got dicked 5-0 so no worries."

After that wimbledon game all those years ago when hans segers was letting them through his legs for everton to stay up, id get a buzz out of them going down

That game had no say in everton staying up, the other results went our way. We would have stayed up anyway as Sheffield United got beat at Chelsea. Had the other teams all won we would have gone down anyway regardless of the result v Wimbledon

And a scatter gun approach.
