You can only flirt with relegation so many times before you get bitten

Might be good for them in the long run and might be good for their fans to have a taste of what many other fanbases have had to suffer as a lot of them still have severe delusions of grandeur

He wouldn’t take it but Vinnie would turn them round
He'd have to be mad. It's a poisoned chalice of a job. What did I hear last night from Shearer, who was working on their game; 8 managers in 9 years, not including caretakers? Watford would be proud of that turnaround in managers. And I'm not sure Vinny would be ready for a job at a big club just yet. Vinny should be patient, a big job will come his way.

A few years ago I'd have agreed with you that it might do them a bit of good in the long run but they're due to move into their new stadium at the start of the 24 season. If they come straight up they should be able to cope but a couple of seasons out of the PL money might cause them a few problems.
The Championship is a bastard to get out of if you're not prepared for it.

Last night was the first time ever that I have thought "I can't be arsed anymore" I will be arsed again in a few day and I will still support them no matter what, but they feckin annoy me at times. Utter gash, can see no escape.
I honestly think that was probably the worst I have seen from an Everton team against City. City didn't do enough to win so I can accept you getting a point. But I can't ever remember an Everton team making no attempt to play football. The play-acting and time-wasting from first minute to last was terrible.(I also accept Bernardo deserved to be booked for diving). It was hardly Joe Royle's "dogs of war" team.
The media reported it as a plucky performance but it wasn't really. Everton managed only two shots. In recent seasons we have played third and fourth tier teams who performed better. Brentford beat us recently with a classic counter-attacking performance. That was not what I saw from Everton at the weekend. I respect your loyalty though. God knows I have seem some dire football from City over the years.

The dismantling of our current squad would be one of the most positive things to happen. One of the worst squads re performance you could possibly wish for, folded like a deckchair once again. Even Pep would struggle to get a tune out of them.
One wonders if these players are saleable. Certainly expect losses on them.
