You were saying?

Everton remind me so much of City in our fuck up years. Next to bottom in the table, sell a player for 45m, then don't bring any bodies in (probably needed 2 or 3). Awful way to run a football club.

Its a double edged sword given their very fragile position.

Stick or twist....seems they are hoping the manager can get a tune from the current lot, saving any spend/sales for the summer according to where they end up.

Very interesting the speculation that Moshieri is a front man for Usmanov, with his "tricky" Russian money. Perhaps establishment bastions Standard Chartered can help? ;-)

Both Moshieri's wife and daughter are journalists at the beeb, he seems shady as fuck ......

Reminds me of how it used to be at City with Swales.
One thing Dyche will do is make you hard to beat, and a couple of decent results can change the whole outlook. There's a lot of football to play yet so who knows?
That's a post the Everton fans will like, I used to be an Ego Massager in a previous working life, my job title was Account Manager". :-)

If they know their history though, they'll know we usually got relegated against a backdrop riots and gnashing of teeth. Div 2 and the subsequent promotions were good though

That season in Division 2, an Oldham supporting mate of ours used to take us to some of the away games sat on garden furniture in the back of his works van.

I remember Macclesfield (open end pissed down, thunder and lightning) Chesterfield, Lincoln (night match I think), Preston, Burnley, Wrexham (oh Terry Cooke) and Blackpool amongst others. Blackpool was the 9th Jan, my old man's birthday, we were in the stand where the sun was so low you could hardly see, think it was an early kick off.

Sadly never made York away.

You have to feel for the Everton fans: what a bloody way to run a football club. Sam GravelDyche and his long-ball tactics? Jeepers!

When we were in the absolute doldrums I think I loved the club even more. I looked around and saw genuine supporters who stayed loyal to their club, no matter what, and I was so fucking proud. Not a pot to piss in but but a tsunami of sky blue behind me.

They will come out of this whole thing relatively unscathed, and if they do go down they will be be better for it. Loyal fans would never turn their backs on their club - ever.

Now if it were either of the two plastics in a similar position their followers would be like rats on a sinking ship.
