It will still be a lot better than the shithole they are playing at now.If they go down the stadium won’t be getting finished anytime soon.

A lot can happen and some games will become dead rubbers while others will suddenly be do or death.Leeds - B’mouth(a), City(a), N’castle(h), W’ham(a), Spurs(h)

Don’t know if you’re old enough to remember but when we were finally relegated from the Premier League in 96 we had been struggling for a few seasons. After the initial devastation we, as all football fans do, looked on the bright side, no more relegation struggles for us, just a good team competing to get back in the top flight. This totally.
Promotion is brilliant for bringing positivity back into the stadium. All they've done for probably 20 years is stagnate and that wears down the fans.
They'd just need to make sure they all stick with the team and get behind them in the Championship, because you don't want to have more than one or two seasons down there.
They're fucked.Leeds - B’mouth(a), City(a), N’castle(h), W’ham(a), Spurs(h)
They could always drop into league 1.....This totally.

Two years later and relegation to the third tier of English Football, nothing but two seasons of absolute shite. Even that season in League One we were languishing mid table at Christmas.
Leeds and Sheff Wednesday are amongst others to have “double dropped”. The Championship is not an easy League to play in, Everton could struggle if they go down.
That part was good fun as well tbf, thank fuck it was only the one season though.A shit season going down but a great season coming back up. Unless you are City and have a quick visit to div3.
just been talking to a friend he said when goes back to work h's assigned to the everton project he was hoping to be north stand at city ( he's on projct managmnt side )If they go down the stadium won’t be getting finished anytime soon.

Cant see them doing what Burnley has done by appointing an unknown commodity in Vinny & changing the whole ethos of the club.Yeah, true. Promotion seasons are brilliant, the best memories you can get in football outside of winning trophies - possibly even better in some ways. But failing to get promotion, especially when you half expect it, leads to a lot of negativity.
Staying mid-table forever gives you nothing but apathy. Given the choice I'd take a relegation and the hope of an exciting season.
The money side of things is potentially a different thing and a major concern, agreed.

Hard to believe next Wednesday will be the 25th year anniversary of our absolute nadir, relegated at Stoke City to the third tier, great memories after that as you say and I wouldn’t swap any of it.Absolutely, remember it well.
The club made a ton of mistakes. The mistake the fans made was that we thought it'd be easy and we got on the players backs when it wasn't. It was only a good few months into the League 1 (current name) season that we all really got behind the team and that made a huge difference.
We got some great memories after that point.
They are already in the hands of a spivTheir best hope is a takeover by someone with serious gelt.
Once relegated, they become a cheap and very attractive 'project' for the right man. Say, one of our Sheikh's cousins. They could easily become Merseyside's biggest club with investment.
The danger is they will fall into the hands of some bent spiv.
I think you’ll probably be in a position to survive by winning your last match of the season at home to Bournemouth.Problem Everton have is we are losing our so called must win games and are running out of games anyway. We either need 2 away wins ( same as we have achieved in the last 2 season's) or a few home wins. The players look like they have accepted their fate and have little or no fight in them. Southampton apart we are probably the poorest side in the League and sooner our fate is decided the better.
