Just been reading it now MES.City are absolutely boiling piss on the BBC comments ha ha ha
Wasn’t uniteds “minor breach” a larger sum than the above difference? Nothing to see here
Like the country, run by a bunch of gangsters.Football survived without ffp for decades. It's been brought in 100% to protect certain clubs
Their usual survival Sunday doing it mind. They will still stay up. The rest of the relegation candidates are much much worse.
Qué Sera SeraWe're going down with a billion in the bank
a billion in the bank
we're gonna have a wank
No point. It’s the UEFA FFP they’ve breached and they’re already bottom of their group. How much punishment did United receive after failing FFP rules?
Look im not sitying here and saying we have done nothing wrong but there are mitigating factors.
1. We took a huge loss on an expensive player due to a police investigation. Not the clubs fault.
2. We had sponsorship deals lined up that fell through due to the Ukraine war and sanctions.
3. We used our own money to put towards a new stadium instead of taking out a loan with interest.
I get that point 2 you could say well this can happen to anyone but nobody expected the invasion.
Unlike the FL, the PL has no guidance or rules in place for a breach of P&S. It sets a precedent as they have just made up the punishment on the spot with a note that due to a billionaire owner, only a points deduction is punishment. So if our owner wasnt a billionaire, a fine would have done it?
How can you enforce a punishment when there are no guidelines for the punishment.
Also we have been punished more than teams who go into Administration.
Doesn't work like that. All players have a value in the books and you have to sell for more than the value to report a profit. Big clubs tend to pay the most and have values higher than what they can get, it's like if rags sold maguire or Anthony what would they get? Probably less.Question that needs to be asked is everton will have been fully aware they were on course to fail ffp so why did they not just look to sell somebody in the window to cover the near £20 million overspend? One sale prevents ththis.
