Everton turn on the 'Moyesiah'

Pains me to say it as I hate Everton with a passion, but they are a big club who are struggling under a potless dictator. I wish them nothing but relegation, but big club they certainly are.

i think fans judge things depending on how long they have been watching the game, i started in the late seventies so judge teams on the last 30 years(not good for a city fan) but standings of clubs can change over time as until recently chelsea wouldnt get a look in in terms of the top ten clubs in the country, for city to move up my list they need to win a few trophies over the next few years.

At the moment i would say there are six or seven clubs bigger than us although i have always liked not supporting one of the really big boys as it gives a sense of identity, the future does look good though baring any typical city fuck ups

see I don't buy this trophy lark. Everton, Villa, Spurs(bar that Carling Cup) have won fuck all of any note for years between them, so any trophies they have won between now and 1976 don't really make them bigger than us, you have to consistently be winning trophies year in, year out over a sustained spell for trophies for that to make any impact imo. I see us all as being pretty even on that front, even if we have won a couple less. I think in every other department we are bigger than Villa or Everton now, and even with Spurs on a lot of them, a couple are in their favour but hopefully on the pitch winning trophies most seasons we will move ahead of them too in stature, and in 20/30 years be in the top few biggest and most famous clubs in the world, once the success becomes ingrained it would happen, like United, even though their success has been so recent, whereas Chelsea haven't quite nailed it, so just don't have as big a stature.

i get where your coming from but a clubs standing is defined by how we are judged by other fans in terms of support and success, maybe winning trophies is too simplistic but over the last 30 years city have without doubt the poorest record of any of the big clubs, constant relegation, one final in 81 hardly any semi or quarter finals.

teams like villa, spurs and everton have been ever present in the top division, won fa cups, european cups, league cups, countless finals, semis quarters etc..
for this reason city had fallen under the radar a bit i mean of the top of my head teams like middlesborough, leicester, millwall and countless other small teams have done better in the cups than us

lets hope things are about to change big time

I agree, but we were badly managed off our successful spell in the late 60s, early 70s, so shot ourselves in the foot, now we're trying to make up for it.

the term big club is thrown about far to easily imo. tottenham, city, united, arsenal, chelsea and liverpool are the only big clubs in england at the moment (again imo). all would easily fill 40k stadiums, all have world class players, all are playing in europe, all are capable of competing for trophies this season. a large fan base and a few trophies 20 years ago doesn't make you a big club.

We're always here I don't like Moyesbut he's no better or worse than Mancini or Hughes. I'd like to see him go at the end of the season but it's highly unlikely. Hopefully we can beat you in a few weeks then you'll know the true definition of gloating. But lets be honest City can't exactly talk about managers. Hughes spend millions and got nowhere and I doubt Mancini will win anything at City. Yes Everton are pretty shit I'm not deluded but really neither of us have very good managers.

really really pmsl.

fuck me lad you really have'nt got a fucking clue.

moyes= mancini, dont make me fucking laugh.
can you imagine it, mario, david moyes wants to sign you, who?
pmsl.

I strongly believe if Everton had our money and our stadium they'd be doing exactly the same as us attendance-wies, possibly with a different manager, but doing the same nonetheless.

Right, I'm leaving this thread cos I fecking hate the blue-dipping cnuts and it is unnerving me to fook defending the wnakers.

Incorrect and we have a far larger stadium. Plus we fill it more often, av attendance 46,300, to a max of 47,200 says we do ok.

Try and post better, lcblue will show you how.

That doesn't mean we always fill it.

It's all about opinions and I never said Everton were bigger, I said they weren't a small club.

You're the worst poster on here by a country mile...all you do is big mouth other posters when you disagree with them.
Whatever kid, weird how I got several mentions on the fave poster thread, unlike you eh?

Grow up and stop wumming you silly boy.

-- Mon Dec 06, 2010 11:28 pm --

I can't beleive people are saying Forest are a big club. They were a small club before Clough and went back to being a small club after Clough.
That was my point stony to Liam. Winning some cups in the 70/80s doesn't make you a big team now.

I meant in English football not fucking italian football even fucking capello and sven won things there.
