Everton v City post match

You were doing ok till you said Sterling was excellent.....are you sure you went ?

Ha ha, I'll consider downgrading my comment to "Sterling was the best we had on the pitch" but I did think he played well. He was one of the few who looked up for it in the second half.

Game would have been different if we'd have
A) Took our chances
B) Been awarded the penalty for the foul on Sterling.

That said, our lack of fight is currently a huge concern, combined with the lethargy of our slow passing and movements.

This, for every goal today. Not saying he is at fault for all of them, but his effort at diving to get at the ball was shocking. No movement towards the ball.
He goes to dive but it is more of a belly flop on the spot,i don't think he has any spring to compensate for being a midget

I thought it was the best I've ever seen us play there.

Unless you're wumming, that's up there with your assertion that the foul on Gundogan by that Watford lad was "horrific". We had a lot of the ball today (again), but as usual created next to nothing against opposition who knew exactly what to expect and exactly how to deal with it. Two great crosses from KDB was as good as it got

Unfortunately Bravo is also pretty crap with his feet

Not crap, but whatever passes he did today to his nearest defender, I am sure Hart is equally capable of doing that. I'm not convinced of his long range passing ability or maybe he rarely does it.

Even more than that, there were at least four occasions when Stones or Otamendi expected Bravo to be racing from his line and sweeping up the potential danger, yet he was rooted to his line.

Most of the goals he concedes are at his near post or he is stood right on his line.

He has no physical presence as it is, so he's hardly making his goal look smaller by standing under his crossbar.

No wonder his/our shots to save ratio is so bad.

Pep or the players?
We've been told and shown that great managers do fine with whatever is at their disposal, i.e Pellegrini at Málaga and so.
It's Pep, methinks. He's got to re-engineer this shambles, prontissimo.
Or, fuck this season and rebuild from the next.
For me he knows already who he's binning in the summer but needs to ride it out bacayse of CL. If Monaco dump us out in February pep needs to be brave and bomb those not in his plans. No european football for a year if happens won't kill us.

We're too reliant on Aguero to score and he looks out of sorts. Silva, Sterling, Navas aren't going to get us 15 goals a season. Even De Bruyne has gone off the boil. Hopefully Jesus will give us more of a cutting edge from a wide left position

Every title winning team needs at least two prolific scorers or a handful who chip in regularly. Aguero, Dzeko and Yaya were regulars with the likes of GazBaz and The LeedsDipper chipping in regularly, and how many times did any one of those rescue the whole three points. We seem to have full on attacks that peter out to shite all, and in the next twinkle the ball's in our net.
