Everton V City post match

We could have closed the gap last Tuesday in an "easier" game, but we failed, a win there and we're 3 clear tonight with better GD, don't read much into either game, the momentum is with us tonight, but by Sunday evening it might be back with them, and lets not rule out Spurs, in 90% of seasons they'd be in front, this one is an exceptional season.

I agree we have done well to get back amongst it after the Newcastle shocker but by Sunday the pressure could be back on us. Three points behind knowing if we lose that gives the dippers a chance to go six ahead if they win their game in hand. I pray Bournemouth upset the apple cart but don't hold out a lot of hope. A win or draw for Bournemouth and a win for us and I will really believe we have the momentum.

No need to call anyone clueless...

He’s the best player I have ever seen at protecting the ball on the half turn and ridding the challenge with the ball on the outside of his left peg whilst shielding it with his petite frame and coming out of a congested area only to slide a world class through ball.

Difference is it comes off 80% not 95% of the time now and he’s not as tenacious as he was last season... that is age... not ability.
When you get yourself into a hole the rule is , stop digging .

Well in that case I’m off to bed as I clearly don’t have a pair of eyeballs that work anymore.

We can cherish the clubs greatest player all we want but refusing to believe he’s good enough to defy age is bonkers and quite frankly wrong. He was unexpectedly brilliant last year (yes, as good as 11/12) but to expect that to continue is ridiculous... let the man, the magician grow old gracefully istead if pretending he’s 26. He’s not.

What a fookin win that was, what a fookin win

Desire, application, bent bast*rd of a referee, determination, hanging in there
