every match joe messes up

Joe needs some time on the bench.

Hart has lived on his excellent reflexes where he does not have to think just react, some players are like that. Benching someone would work if he wasn't trying hard enough but that is not Joe's problem. A world-class goal-keeping coach might be able to improve his decision making and reading of the game, it depends on Joe's ability to absorb and act on the info.
The Chelsea incident is the latest(most costly) occasion where his basic technique has been found wanting, set-pieces are a lottery when the GK does not dominate his area
The club need to try everything to get him through this, simply benching him will not do it imo

one thing going for Joe in all this is his self belief. if he was rested it would drive him on like nothing else. once back in he'd be back to his best. the focus he has clearly lost will be back and we will all benefit from that. us, England and most of all Joe himself.

He doesn't have excellent reflexes, look at keepers like Krul and Mignolet if you want to see good reflex keepers. He is good at one on ones but that is a different goalkeeping technique.

Have just managed to watch the goal again on the official site having avoided radio, TV etc since Sunday. IMO if Hart has shouted early enough then Nasty has to get out of the way and let Hart deal with it. I assume that they have worked in training on a high line and Joe sweeping up and therefore they should all have been aware of the danger. What is interesting to see is how Dimichelis reacts as he doesn't stop sprinting which could possibly mean he didn't hear any shout and is aware of what may and eventually did happen. Watching Joe go back to his goal shouting that he called for it puts the blame on Nasty I am afraid.
