Everyone on here and in this country is to blame

John Terry's remarks about having no fight .... what a bizarre thing to hear.

Who's number 17 for England?

Shaun Wright-Phillips - a talented winger who had everything coached out of him as a youngster, could of been so much better if he was coached differently in Europe.

Instead we get a one dimensional winger who cannot take anyone on and cannot cross a ball!

ENGLAND FOR THE WORLD!

I'm just glad no ones suggested we send young players to Italy to be coached.

the coaching thing comes up every time, I think it's hugely overstated, we turn out a lot of good players.

to me the difference between us and the rest of the world is mainly the mentality. everyone always talks about individual players, never the team. we eulogise match winners like gerrard and rooney who spend most of their time out of position. Barry is much more like a continental midfielder these days, he's really tactically aware, like a De Rossi, but he's just about the only one.

there is also a too-cool-for-school thing in English dressing rooms, they aren't allowed to act like grown ups, or be seen to be 'clever'.

the other big thing is because of the refereeing in the premier league, we effectively play a different game to the rest of the world. I get irritated when people say 'that's a foul in Europe'. It should be a foul in England too.
