Catholicism has shrunk from 92% of the continent to 69% since 1970 with atheism or agnosticism being identified by 11% of the population in Argentina, 16% in Chile, 18% in the Dominican Republic, and 37% in Uruguay.

Where a whopping 67% of the nation are atheists.
Northern and Western Europe went through enlightenment in the 1600s. From then on it was scientific reason that was the forefront of thought and evidence was needed to prove something.
As scientists started to prove why things happen or what things are, religion became sidelined with every theory.
It’s 300+ years later but it’s starting to get a grip in the world, finally. Hopefully some day in the future (might be another 300+ years) everybody will be atheist.
The more educated a population becomes, the more it moves away from 2000 year old myths and legendsIrreligion/atheism is growing in South America too.

Joy as in an essence of the Whole that some may call God? In that way 'evidence' is more a state of awareness than something that can be put down on paper. And it was a question re confusion as to hpw you might look at it, is all.
Take it away from an emotive level and joy is simply a chemical reaction in the body including the production of dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin and endorphins.I know a couple of god bothering cunts and they are, without a shadow of doubt, the most miserable, hate filled mentally ill twats I’ve ever met.
Joy is a human emotion. Having it proves nothing in relation to the existence of god. And plenty deluded have the same joy level for different gods.
How does that work?

"I know a couple of god bothering cunts and they are, without a shadow of doubt, the most miserable, hate filled mentally ill twats I’ve ever met." Sure. As do I. But what does that prove? Beyond that, you find joy the way you do, I find it the way I do. Is this ok? To put it another way - ultimately, I don't give a flying fuck whether you choose to believe in 'god' or not. It's not really my business, then, to tell you what you 'should' or 'shouldn't' do, right? Each to their own perhaps....I know a couple of god bothering cunts and they are, without a shadow of doubt, the most miserable, hate filled mentally ill twats I’ve ever met.
