I wasn't disappointed with him at all. I thought he did exactly what he was good at. Him and Ireland were a joy to watch.Robinho
Agree about Ben Haim. Saw him in a pre-season game ( can't remember the opponents - feyenoord /psv maybe ) He was fantastic! I thought to myself we have just signed a rock. It just goes to show never judge a player on 1 pre-season game.Ben Haim.

The argument was not that pesuasive.Keegan was great at talking up a new signing. I remember him talking about Christian Negouai like he was some sort of nailed on super star.
He got sent of on his only start i think and despite being with us for 4 years he just disappeared of the face of the earth. His only contribution is that it turns out at some point he dodged a drugs test and got away with it and it was used by Rio as precedent in his case.
Nery Castillo.
Both superb players, but couldn't defend for 2 players to allow Yaya to lollop about.Javi Garcia v Fernando. Battle Royal of Slowwwwwww.
Yeah, he even paid part of the fee to get himself here. I was thinking we’ve got a gem here who’s motivated too.The drop off was crazy after watching the YouTube vids of him.
I didn't expected him to be good enough to lift a whole team. What he did was enough for me to be more than happy with hum.He raised our profile when he signed, our marquee signing massively under achieved, one or two decent moments but that was it.
"Superb" might be pushing it a bit. But I agree both had a few short purple patches. Both superb players, but couldn't defend for 2 players to allow Yaya to lollop about.
Both had really good careers after us too."Superb" might be pushing it a bit. But I agree both had a few short purple patches.
