Explosions in Jerusalem

Agreed, and disturbing to read of (as are all the other killings in that land).
My memories of spending some time in Jerusalem are amongst my very best, and the warmth and friendliness of both the Arabic and Jewish folk I met there will always stay with me.
I ve always had a deep yerning to go there. Unfortunately I had grown up taking sides. Now I just crave peace for everyone there. Nearest i got was Amman airport. Would love to visit, hope it just doesnt flare up again.

Yeah, agreed mate. I was fortunate enough to spend a summer there working in a kibbutz then travelling around Israel and Palestine - mostly by bus as it happens - and to say it was something special is an understatement.

The Palestinian, Israeli conflict is very complex and a solution no nearer but murdering a child will not help either side. As usual it is the innocents that suffer.
With the new far right government about to take office in Israel it could get real messy

Existing in safety is great.

Sustained terrorism against, and occupation of your neighbour is something else.
Odd that you haven’t posted any criticism of Russia in 3595 pages of the Ukraine thread for doing exactly what you’re accusing Israel of doing after one of its citizens was murdered in a terrorist attack.

It's not one-sided though is it? Three times Aab armies have started existential wars against Israel. In 1948, the West Bank was totally under Jordanian control but they annexed it, rather than give the Palestinians a state of their own.

The Israelis definitely aren't blameless but I've said before that the extreme elements on both sides are the problem. Both need each other to justify their own existence.

1) I hereby criticise the actions of Russia. Of course I oppose what they are doing. However, I haven't seen anyone on here supporting Russia's terrorist actions so I have had no cause to speak out like I have here.

2) Your comment is a good example of 'whataboutery' - failing to address the point by bringing up a separate issue. I have clarified my position by speaking out against Russia's actions. Are you now going to do the same regarding Israel, or are you a supporter of state terrorism?
