Exposing the hypocrisy of journalists

The independent finally got around to correcting Delaney's 'i hate city' article on the treble to correctly differentiate Etihad and Emirates. Of course the footnote is still wrong, as they have both claimed we're sponsored by Emirates, and then claimed that Etihad sponsored the FA Cup.

What's notable, however, is that at no point did Delaney admit to his lying, actually insisting he'd never claimed it.

Also, I do have to wonder what the effect of private eye contacting them about the article had, as that's what happened per the PE journalist i'd been speaking to and suddenly the article was corrected. Obviously a complete coincidence.

Private Eye mocked it, did they? Good stuff.
What's the 'claim' Delaney didn't make?

Anyone who wants to boycott City because of the UAE's involvement in Yemen should also be boycotting anything with links to Saudi Arabia (the major coalition partner) or the United Kingdom or the United States (principal suppliers of deadly weapons including bombs that kill little, innocent children). So that's all of us boycotted, basically.

The hypocrisy stinks all the way to heaven. In any other context, if you protest against the violence of states towards civilians, they call you a Commie, or something equally derogatory. Say it in an anti-City context, and it's fine. Hypocritical ****s - they are like vegans who eat meat 6 a days week.

Why pick on vegans? By the very definition they don't eat meat any days of the week

Started reading this shite and then realised that we are to blame for World War One and Two, the miners strike, homelessness, inflation and not getting Brexit sorted.
You went one better than me, I didn’t read it at all but I imagine it’s fully hate filled and slagging us to the heavens.

The last paragraphs mention Rabin, I mean I’ve not read it but literally including 1 city fan in it seems desperate and sad as fuck for a supposed journalist

Even mentions Rabin in the article

Quoting that Rabin had too much time on his hands, the length of this article, trying to cover every comment / accusation made with 6 extra reasons as to why, tells me this fella has more than too much time on his hands.

He contradicts himself all over the show here, but does at least try to convince himself that it is not City fans fault, but suggests that we take some kind of action, and what action is that I ask ? Stop supporting the club that many of us have done for years, and way before the "petrodollars" came our way.

Journalists like this, firstly need to understand the concept of a football fan, this fella clearly does not take this into consideration, does he realise that because City have eventually got back on to the top table,(we were there once before you know),and now have money pumped into them, like Utd,Chelsea,Liverpool, etc etc have had for years, that it is purely us that need looking at.

Most fans,(myself included) are only interested in what happens on the pitch, the English game has never seen such a dominant force and era,but these journalists seem to forget that others I have previously mentioned have been paying fortunes on players for ages and ages, but now liccle Citeh are,and are doing it better than any have in the past, sour grapes does come into play, has to.

He calls himself a human rights reporter and a bit of football too, well the bit is obviously not enough, and from a sporting perspective a little more time is needed from him to start seeing the woods from the trees, and acknowledge what we are as a football team.

Of course he’s got too much time on his hands, let’s face it he’s unlikely to be getting a shag is he, that’s probably why he’s such a wanker.

Apparently we were right to criticise Piers Morgan because he supports a club funded by another oil state, no mention of those who support the Saudi backed club from Trafford or indeed Chelsea, Liverpool

Apparently it's ok to attack Piers Morgan as he supports a club funded by oil money, however, reporters supporting other clubs with dubious backers, such as united and Liverpool are to be respected as the moral compass for the game.

McGeehan seems to taking Spiegel leaks as gospel (when someone else may have countered), and belief that Twitter is a solid place to extrapolate to all City fans.

It would be interesting to get a non-City fan to read it, and see if they think it's accepting all things that back the opinion, and questioning all that oppose it.

There are some decent points in there, but they're buried in diatribe and misrepresentative wording ('players' singing on the plane was a couple of youth players and a number of backroom staff wasn't it, apart from the last line about Sterling).

The problem with the liberal journalists is that some of them truly believe that the ex-colonies are the problem and if only they would adopt the policies and approach of the Britain, France, Europea, and the US then all would be well.

At their worst they provide the moral justification for war, and then these people are truly dangerous.
