I am still awaiting a response from my exact post a few pages back about HRH Sheikh Mansour!! The ironic posts of some people berating our royal family as leeches etc yet our own Sheikh Mansour is a royal!!

I see him more as a businessman, as he is so rich due to business dealings. If uncrowned him and his family would still be very wealthy off their own backs, would ours?

What utter drivel you are posting. How do you think he can afford to be the businessman that he is? It is because he was born into the royal family of Abu Dhabi and has access to a sovereign wealth fund beyond anyones' imagination. He is exactly the same as the queen yet the only difference is the queen hasn't bought a football club.
As a student I thought you would understand the word "Sovereign".....Jeez..what exactly are you studying?

Is the queen involved in business to consolidate her wealth like Mansour is, he has a massive portfolio of projects.

I do know what the word "Sovereign" means, why do you ask?

Just to show I'm not being a one-sided ranter here I'm more than willing to admit that the Prince's Trust is a fabulous organisation and huge credit is deserving to all responsible.

Doesn't warrant a fucking four-day holiday, bunting and millions spent on it though does it. Are we doing likewise next week for Shelter?

no-but maybe for a champions league success!:-)

Seriously though,I can accept people not liking the Monarchy..that is fine but to say they do nothing or give anything back is clearly wrong

And likewise I can accept people liking the monarchy. It perplexes me but so does many things :)

I haven't been one of those stating that they don't give anything back or do nothing.
The only time I've replied with genuine ire has been when I've been told - on two occasions on this thread - that I should be proud of them. That I strongly disgree with.

That's a bit of a sweeping statement. So you would welcome the overthrow of the royal family in Abu Dhabi?
Ithought i said it quite clearly.`. Wherever they take place`.
You did. I'll take that to be an equivocal yes.
OK.

I'm sure if that didn't exist, another charity would fill the gap made

Re: F*** the Jubliee

I must admit, the prince's youth business trust was good to me. When me and my brother wanted to buy a van to start a removal business, we applied for a £2000 interest free loan off them. They called us in to see them and they said they'd give us a £1500 interest free loan and a bursary of £2500 so we could get a much better van. We bought a van for £1700 and went on the piss.

You really are not getting it are you!!! Sheikh Mansour was born into the Royal family of Abu Dhabi-fact...This made him extremely wealthy at birth giving him access to untold reserves of cash known as the "sovereign" wealth fund! Do you think he was a businessman at 6 months old asking for a start up loan from Nat west???? His wealth enabled him to do things in business which me you or anyone else physically could not!!

Again the queen was born into it just like HRH Sheikh Mansour...Do you really think he would be skint if he got rid of all his business empires...He is a royal and simply by that fact is wealthy by birth!

Now go pay back some of your student loan because going to university is clearly not helping you!

So because our owner invests his inhereted bounty in capatalistic enterprises, that somehow makes him more virtuous than someone who does not do so quite so conspicuously?
