i fucking despise the queen.

You despise an 86 year old lady who you have never met, and who has done you no harm. You sir, are an idiot. Care in the community has a lot to answer for.

Yes actually. Name five countries where you'd rather live on a permanent basis; i.e. if you were to leave tomorrow and never come back to the UK.

While you're thinking about that, run and get a postage stamp and write down all you know about democracy on the back.
What's where I'd rather live got to do with democracy you buffoon? Democracy means 'power of people', not, 'what country do you want to live in?' There's your first lesson in democracy. The first is free, if you want anymore I'll have to charge for it.

You are a cretin. Indeed, if by some chance you are over the age of 18, I suspect you are on the list of people who do not have the right to vote.

Conservative estimates of the protest are over 1000. They asked for democracy and got booed. Says a lot about the British public.

Democracy...You really are an idiot.

Tell me when they were elected?
Whether they're popular or not, they should have no right to rule (even though they are basically a figurehead today) unless elected, surely? I don't want a debate on President Blair etc, just surely this is a basic tenet of democracy?
You think we would have any more direct say in our legislative process if Britain were a republic? How fucking so?

The Queen has proved very adept at evolving the monarchy before and since 1998 and I suspect she would have responded accordingly to any backlash from the death of Diana if Blair's advice hadn't been forthcoming. She is a canny lady.

Labour has never been anti-monarchy, although there are quite a few repulicans in the oarty. It was just a comment that she has always had particularly good relations with Labour Prime Ministers especially Blair and Wilson.
She certainly wasn't acting it at the time.

I've no doubt you know more about the lass than I do. I don't care one way or the other with regards to the monarchy. Notionally I'm a republican and I certainly am in countries which are run by hereditary monarchs but as long as the royals stay out of politics here, that'll do me.

Care in the community isn't that something that Margaret Thatcher came up with? Another 86 year old woman (I assume you have never met) who I've noticed you referred to as a heartless woman in the past? As well as a greedy penny pincher amongst other things something that many would actually accuse the Windsors of being.

I would suggest whether she was a greedy penny pincher or not she did a hell of a lot more for the country than Windsor has during her "reign."

Sod the lot of you. It's my birthday and I have spent part of it watching the pageant on the Thames. A wonderful sight and a tribute to a great lady who could show some of this generation about dedication, hard work and a sense of duty

Spot on Ronnie. Work and Sense of Duty are two things most of this lot would have no idea about. I suspect most of the 'democrats' are schoolboys or students on media study courses.

Happy Birthday mate - Enjoy the party!

Seen that there was an anti royal march about 200 attended. They got booed and god save the queen was sang at them. HA

estimated that there is over 1 million people in london for the boat spectacle cheering the queen, compare that to 200 noobs

clearly no one likes the royals

Lets focus on that last line. You "despise" her. I bet you haven't got the faintest fucking idea what she does. I bet she does more good for the world in one day than you will acheive in your chav filled little existence.

Indeed, quite a few republicans seem more bothered by the fact that the queen lives a very comfortable lifestyle (though I'll say I certainly wouldn't swap places with the royals) by earning literally pennies per subject, than by electoral reform.
