Damien Lewis can stop cringing now, he's been upstaged....

Nice touch of Brundle to do a 'crowd walk' and speak to ordinary rans rather than the usually clueless celebrities.

They should do this more often,.

Agreed, I think sky actually bothered to listen to feedback from that incident when that model was being a tosser. Much prefer to hear from the fans, where they're from, who they follow as opposed to the dulcet tones of some celeb c*nt who doesn't follow the sport.

Still 2/7 to win the race even with the grid penalty. His car is just so much faster than the rest, will probably be leading within the first half dozen laps.
His car is faster except for the one Perez is driving.

But driving 0.82 faster in the qualifier and being this far ahead in todays race proves again RB has the fastest car and Verstappen is way ahead of everyone.
It would be more exciting without Verstappen.

Pity Piastri couldnt finish. Probably the future challenger of Verstappen.

Surely this continued dominance is bad for the golden goose they've created with Drive to Survive?

When long term fans are saying this is one of the worst seasons in history I can't imagine new fans are going to find it particularly exciting either.

Was Hamilton’s dominance bad for F1?
Or Schumacher’s?
Or Vettel’s
Or Senna’s
Or Prost’s?

I think it’s a great season. RB have nailed the use of the design book this year but behind them it’s close with several teams improving a lot.

To be honest, after the debacle of them giving the first title to MV, after decades of watching, I no longer have it in my plans. I still keep an eye but when it‘s further found that certain teams overspent, used to develop, say, the rear wing, then it just hammers another nail for it no longer being a sport but an entertainment enterprise.

Only my opinion and I’m sure for some, this will have been a different story. Just not for me.

There's always been periods where certain drivers were dominant. Look at those that were listed earlier. I don't remember too much complaining when Hamilton was winning championship after championship (6 out of 7, 7 out of 13).Eventually, Verstappen's time at the top will come to an end. Though it mightn't be for a while yet. Unless one of the other teams (Ferrari? Merc? Aston Martin?) get their act together PDQ.

Even if Hamilton had won that title, it was only delaying the inevitable. Verstappen had been earmarked as a future champion for quite a few years before that. It was only going to be a matter of time. Was it undethanded? Yeah, it seemed that way at the time. But let's not kid ourselves that Hamilton would still be WC if he'd prevailed that day. Red Bull have disappeared over the horizon since then, in comparison to the Mercs. Mercedes will have a scrap for second place with Aston Martin and Ferrari.

F1 has always had patterns of dominance. It's part of the sport. This is not new.
