F1 2023 season

I missed the qualifying and the race as I've been away for work all weekend. Just watched the highlights.

Fuckin hell...get the fuck in Lando lad! Have that. The roar of the crowds when he mugged off Verstappen off the line and led the first couple of laps was immense, was like watching a late City goal. It was obviously not going to last as the Red Bull + Max combination is just too powerful but what a start! And buzzing to see two Brits on the podium.

I've been waiting for McLaren to be 'back' since Hamilton left 10 years ago so it's way too early to start counting chickens but whatever this upgrade is has made a massive difference over the past couple of races. Fucking outstanding! If I were a superstitious person I'd say it was all down to the silver livery, reminded me of the Hamilton + Button days fighting at the front.

Another Ferrari LOLfest. Sainz's radio comms was funny, he just doesn't give a fuck anymore does he. Probably regrets leaving McLaren. Both him and LeClerc need to get out of that joke of a team. They're the rags of F1.

Perez as well...another joker. Interesting times for Red Bull though. Max is carrying their entire setup. Both the Alpha Tauri drivers are shite, Perez is shite (well not shite but not up to Red Bull's level), apart from Max and maybe Ricciardo (but who knows how he would perform in that car) who have they got?

Verstappen is literally winning both the drivers and constructors championship single handed, and his success is probably paying for the whole Alpha Tauri team as well.

People talk about Red Bull dominance but it looks like a house of cards to me.

Danny Ric back in f1 replacing De Vries at Alpha Tauri. Shame for De Vries not even lasting out a season but shows how cut throat F1 is if you ain’t doing it.

Further up the grid there will be some concern from Sergio Perez, he can’t seem to get his Saturdays right to give him a chance in the race. F1 Summer break is coming up next month and it’s where we potentially see driver movement for next season, wonder if Red Bull will wield the axe on him? The Alpha Tauri is an absolute shopping trolley of a car, Ricciardo has Hungary and Belgium to try and sneak a top ten finish to put Horner in a situation where he has to make a decision on his number 2 driver.

Danny Ric keeping Perez seat warm until they swap places next season.

WTF is happening on skys F1 channel they have bloody kids commentators now no doubt another box ticking exercise,
perhaps they may have a channel with no commentary in the future so we don’t have to listen to pointless drivel

I've never really got the Ricciardo hype tbh, always thought he was a bang average driver who was very good at PR, but it is nice to see him back and I am pretty buzzing to see how he performs.

He's clearly a well liked bloke and deserves this chance, especially as Perez is stealing a living and Ricciardo back to RB is the obvious end goal.
