F1 2023 season

To sum up my previous post this is the jarring difference between the last 10 years and the 10 years previous to that.


2003 - 2012
2 x Dominated
1 x Sort of dominated
7 x Contested

2013 - 2022
7 X dominated
2 x inter team contested
1 X contested

In my mind F1 definitely has an issue with competitive seasons.

Toto Wolff has said that Red Bull’s dominance of the early season is ‘not great for the show’. That’s the words he started with. Simple.

There is no dominance yet. Two races gone. So using RB is simply wrong. THAT is my point. He shud’ve said any dominance in any sport is not great. So wrong accusation towards RB and wrong timing. From a man who actually was part of a team that dominated sport with Mercedes not too long ago.

Agree. Compare to motor racing. Far more exciting and unpredictable.

No it wasn’t, he was asked the question if it was not great for the show. He didn’t start with those words at all. What he did was justify that Red Bull deserved it and it’s on all the rest of them to make it competitive and that’s actually more important than the show. These are his exact responses after his initial response -

“Even if it is not great for the show that the same guys win all the time, it is because they have done a good job and we haven't.

"We all hope for good entertainment and it is our duty to catch up and fight these guys. We will do everything in our power to fight back and we will look at areas of weakness that they may have.​

"Entertainment follows sport and that is maybe not good for the commercial side but it is what makes Formula 1 so special."

How was that obvious?

Moto GP somehow becomes motor racing. Pretty big typo!

Moto GP is alright if you just want racing in its purest form. The bikes are interesting from a technical standpoint as well. But the lack of tactics and the races being so short don't appeal to me as much.
