F1 2024 season

Should see lots of improvement in that then.........possibly, maybe, perhaps, or not.
Can’t be any worse than F1 this last decade. Pretty much a procession of one man championships. First Hamilton, now Verstappen. I wonder what percentage of the theoretical tv audience they're pulling in compared to the 90s.

Weird thing to blame Liberty for.

They arrived in 2017 when Mercedes were already 4 championships in and the new regs were already being developed.

The default position is always to be very cynical of these groups by Liberty have increased audiences 60% in 6 years, established the sport in the USA in a way it’s never been before and they’re showing serious long term planning.

The budget cap is going to keep the sport going long term, they’re insisting on 10 year deals with all new tracks, and the 2026 regs are obviously popular because it’s got people like Audi returning, Porsche investing and Andretti trying to get back in.

No sport is perfect but it’s hard to imagine how a deal like this could have gone better for everyone involved.

I never mentioned Liberty anywhere in my post. I was talking about the sport in general. In my opinion, it's nowhere near as exciting as in the Senns/Prost/Mansell era.

He's more likely to be at Le Mans, if anywhere going by his recent test with Porsche.

He deffo wants to come back for a victory lap though. Even before he retired he made it pretty clear he’d be back sooner or later.

Lewis going to Ferrari and all the shit going on at red bull has deffo thrown the cat amongst the pigeons - even more so now it’s obvious Ricciardo has lost his mojo.

It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that Red Bull could be looking for four new drivers in the summer which would really shuffle the pack.

I put a 0.1% chance of Vettel joining Red Bull again. He was past it by the time he retired so I don't understand why Red Bull or any other team would want him. Alonso showed what the Aston Martin was truly capable of the following season.

I mean with the uncertainty round red bull drivers in general it shuffles the pack.

Vettel to Mercedes isn’t impossible. Nor is Max to Mercedes.

Weird transfer window ahead.
