F1 2026

Pitting right before a safety car was unfortunate for Russell. There's a long way to go.

Aston Martin and Williams fucking around and making a mockery of the race again.

If your car is a heap is shit then deal with it, they shouldn't be allowed to just bin the race off completely and treat it like a pre season testing session. Absolutely ridiculous.

Also how much of an irritating bell end is Jack Black. The guy is about 60 and bouncing around like toddler with ADHD.
That's because he does have ADHD :)

I think some of you are reading into these comments by Verstappen what you want it to read.

He's an out and out racer, that's how he enjoys racing and F1 isn't that now.

It's nothing to do with starting P7, P9, P11, it's about the enjoyment of racing and driving the car on the edge for 2 hours and extracting every last bit of performance the car can provide.

I kinda understand what he's talking about.
I used to navigate in club road rallies back in the dim and distant past and loved it. The whole plotting and marking up the sections, sitting there reading from my OS map while the driver drove as fast as he could in his RS2000 along unfamiliar narrow country roads, all the while hoping I was calling it right. Brilliant stuff!!
Then the rules changed and it became all about timing and restrictions meaning we couldn't race any longer. The thrill and excitement died and we quickly lost interest and packed up.

I think Max's complaint with the sport is just that, it's lost its thrill and excitement and he's questioning the value of it for him.

I haven't watched every single interview, but I don't see him throwing tantrums during various interviews, he answers the questions, explains why the car isn't performing and seems to accept that the car as it stands, simply isn't performing to a standard that is consistently competitive.

If anything, he was more highly strung in his younger years when the pressure was on and he was winning.

Take a look at the comments on the BBC web site about MV.

He seems to be universally despised.

How easily are the British public swayed by a hostile media.

He is the biggest star in f1 and it would be a great shame if he walked away but under these crap new regulations it would be understandable.

Everyone slagging Verstappen on this point is failing to acknowledge there’s over half of the grid complaining about the regulations - for safety, for racing and for driver enjoyment.

Bearman's crash in Suzuka should be a wakeup call for the FIA.

Hearing the comments from the drivers (Not just Verstappen, though natch, he'll get more media exposure) has made this season very concerning.

Alonso: "Overtaking is accidental. Suddenly you find yourself with a higher battery than the car in front, and you either crash into them or you overtake them. It's an evasive manoeuvre, not an overtake."

Or Piastri - "I see what you mean about the 'mushroom'..." (A reference to Mario Kart)

The powertrains need a complete overhaul; if a driver isn't fully in control of how the car is powered, then they aren't in control, and Bearman incidents will keep happening.

Both Max and Russell throwing the toys out of the pram I see.

Max is going through the post champion phase Hamilton went through of shit car that even he couldn't save.

George moaning all the faults at Mercedes are on his side of the garage. We're only 3 races in and he's conceding to the kid already.

How about we replace Ted's notebook entirely!

He was good as a pitlane reporter. I'd put him back in his lane and tell him to stick to what he's good at.

I'd fuck off 'Crofty' because he's an annoying berk and get back the underrated James Allen. I think Brundle is too long retired now and isn't what he was as the expert co-commenator. I'd put him in Teds role instead as he's top notch at interviews. I'd have Davidson as the main co-commenator instead. He's been retired a long time as well but I believe he spent years as the Mercedes sim driver so still has a fairly recent first hand understanding of the sport. Certainly more than Brundle.

GP Lambiase has told Red Bull he’s fucking then off and going to McLaren!

Team Principle role apparently and he’ll have gardening leave so he can’t join til 2028.

Guessing this means Zak is going to focus more on the wider corporate structure at a board level, a promotion for Stella to more of a CEO type role and GP to have Stella’s old job?

Could also indicate Max is definitely fucking off.

It is my hope that sprint races go the way of DRS and quite soon.

Dull, uninteresting, pointless and add nothing to the season.
