I knew it wouldn't be Hill as he drove for Williams whereas DC drove for McLaren, but thanks to @PannickAtTheDisco for completing the knowledge.

He also drove for Williams but obviously it was before that incident lol

yhp, Schumacher was 30 seconds clear in the race and would have gone 3 points clear in the title race, and ended up 7 behind. With his win in the following race he would have had a 10 point lead with 2 races left in a season where 10 points were given to the winner so it completely changed the season.

Maybe mixed up with the fact that Hill ended up winning the race oddly enough.

The FIA have been at pains to state that they’ll take points from any driver that causes an accident on purpose this weekend.

Surely they cant rewrite the rules right at the end of the season?

When asked about that Max said that no rules had changed which says to me that provision for a points deduction is already in the statutes.
