sure Liberty Media will have a say in this.
They dont care who wins.
And the fact its going to the stewards is amazing drama for them. Everyone is still paying attention hours later. DTS will be loving this.
sure Liberty Media will have a say in this.
I thought there'd be shenanigans, I didn't think they'd be that bold. That's the only kudos I can give them is the size of the cojones to pull that stunt.Comes down to one word....Greed...yet again
Not content with a final head to head race they wanted it all the way down to the last lap for maximum financial gain no doubt egged on by sponsors Sky and ilk
Shameless but I can't help laughing at the brazenness of it all
Del Boy next FIA chief?
Who actually runs F1?
It would be interesting to hear their take on this. Are they ecstatic they have a new champion and lots of people are all over this. its certainly got a lot if engagement .
or are they disappointed their flagship event was farcical and the result was essentially managed by the race director?
I think the rules already state that if the race ending is fucked up, it get counted back to who was leading when the race reached enough laps to finish - which would give Lewis the title.
Thats why its so bad, there is no equivalent of last week giving Max 10 seconds so he still finishes second and nothing changes.
There is no "yes we fucked up but this is the solution from the rules and max still wins".
Verstappen overtaking (allegedly) Hamilton under SC conditions is totally the drivers fault so I would disagree when you say neither driver has done anything wrong.Well said. This is absolutely the point Mercedes will be making. This is rule 48.12. I have read it and re-read it, and there is complete clarity in what is states. There is no wriggle room. Of course if this is the case, it remains to be seen what the remedy might be, given that neither driver did anything wrong.
The driver who crashed was driving a car with a Mercedes engine who are a feeder team for the Mercedes FI team. I don't think Latifi did his future prospects any good today.I wonder if the driver who crashed took a dive now that would be something
