F1 Season 2021

What an absolute fuckin shithouse

To be fair, I don't expect Max to come out and say ‘well done’, course he's going to woman about it. It was great racing and he came off second best. Lewis needed to dig him in the ribs and did so. I expect Max will do the same back, given that's been pretty much his MO since he arrived in F1.

Will be interesting to see what happens next if Hamilton has got inside Verstappen’s head. 30 odd points in a world championship down to 7, Hamilton usually does pretty well at the Hungarian GP but Red Bull seems to be better in the corners and before this race Verstappen was running away with it.

Red Bull having a car totalled yesterday, what will that do to their ability to bring further upgrades with the cost cap in place on teams which could hamper them in the back end of the season. All in all it’s looking like a very watchable scrap till December.

Not Lewis' biggest fan myself but he did nothing wrong there. He had the racing line and was fully within his rights to hold on to it. Verstappen drove into Lewis. Ludicrous Lewis got any penalty.

And the Red Bull spokesman - whoever he is - is bad losing dickhead.
Christian Horner married to Ginger Spice. Yes he is a dickhead. Coltart eat al were lining up to agree with him though.

I really think the lead of 35 points was exaggerated in scale, when in reality it was only 1 DNF to clear most of it, and 29 pts theoretically available in one weekend. I sometimes think commentators are still thinking in the old points system and when there were far fewer races, but it was never a mountain to climb.

Verstappen had a good run of results and went ahead, but it's only July.

I was expecting that Hamilton would have raced off into the distance at the restart - I said so here. I didn't pick up if there was a reason that he didn't. The Mercedes at Silverstone is surely a better car than the Ferrari.

Last 5 races before this Mercedes have been battered by Red Bull. I thought it was going to be one of those seasons where Verstappen slowly walks away with it. We haven’t even hit the half way point of the season if every race goes ahead so plenty of points to play for.

Three week break happens after Hungary and Mercedes usually come back strong after that, plus two power tracks in Spa and Monza coming up, who said F1 was boring?
