F1 Thread

This year is better than most of the last few because there are at least two teams who can compete in most races - with cars that favour different tracks. The last Schumacher Ferrari seasons, the Red Bull domination and the Mercedes domination crushed the life out of several years.
Yeah it did always seem a bit lobsided but this year looks like it will be an excellent battle between Lewis and Seb, long may it continue :)

Well everyone else in Formula One and the stewards certainly were.
If you could be bothered to read what the FIA punished then you would see that there was no mention of intent
He didn't. Listen to what he said "if Bottas isn't racing for position....."
"Then please use him as a blocker because I'm not capable of overtaking him myself, despite my car being more suited to this track"
He'd been in first for half a lap when he was given the penalty and he was there only because of a headrest not being secured properly.
Cheers Sherlock. The incompetence of the Mercedes team gave vettel the lead and if he hadn't been punished as he should have been he would have won the race
I'm not sure how you can object to that but seeing as you love to kick up an arguement at every opportunity I'm sure you'll find a way

I've not seen any reference to that.

A post-race investigation later showed that Hamilton had behaved exactly the same in that area of the track at both the controversial restart and the incident-free one before - he had done nothing wrong.

FIA analysis of the second contact concluded that Vettel had turned into Hamilton’s Mercedes.

The stewards’ statement explained: 'The stewards examined evidence which showed that car No 5 drove alongside and then steered into car No 44.

'The stewards decide this manoeuvre was deemed potentially dangerous.'

You've missed my point, I think.
Clearly from video, Vettel moved right.
I'm (mildly) interested in what he did in the cockpit. I've not seen footage or description of that.
