Fucking Arsenal fans coming on here bemoaning us quoting their net spend figures is the pinnacle of fucking hypocrisy. Your loud mouthed fanbase have done nothing for the last 10 years except berate us with those very same figures and i dont recall any of them at any time ever make any considerations about our "Building Phase", fuck off Jack must try harder.

They've spent such a long time with Wenger doing the same as manager that they believe it. Arsenal have always had financial power and spent money. They think the fact they chose to invest in a mega new stadium means they can plead poverty. The whole point of that investment was to secure a shit tonne of matchday revenue, which they now do. And they've still spent during that time, only Wenger went from unearthing gems for decent fees to buying shite for larger sums and then offering huge wages and contracts to players who didn't really give a fuck about playing for the club.

Feels like a must win for me.
Not so much as a single game but to knock them back.
Theyre clearly on the up with potential to be a rival for a number of years. Young talented players, good manager, engaged and excited fan base and owners willing to spend.

A lot of similarities to early years klopp liverpool and cant help but feel our record against them in those years when we were clearly the better team gave them the confidence to compete with us over single games, cup comps and then leagues.

In first 3 seasons of Pep vs Klopp we played 8 times (6league plus 2CL). We won twice (5-0 albeit they were down to 10 men at 1-0 and the 8th was the 2-1 at home). We lost 4 and drew 2. We won the league 2 of those 3 seasons but they clearly grew and enough to then win the league the season after. Because they had confidence to beat us.

Arsenal had their close game with us last season 2-1 with the late Rodri goal. If we come out of this and/or league games with the wrong results apart from obvious issues this season I think its huge for them going into future years.
If we win and knock them back we could break their momentum that we clearly couldnt with Liverpool

The games are loading up now. Tough games for us and them, and without much rest in between. They can't rotate as well as we can, as shown last night. Fatigue will hit, form will suffer. We'll give them a pasting.

Just like we did in The Carabao Cup Final in 2018.
That was the easiest win in a Cup Final for City in the last 12 years.

im just suprised he hasn't got letter headed posts like his club love whinging on

Remember having a great row in the Hope & Anchor after a game down there. Someone was bemoaning the money we'd spent & was claiming they'd done things the 'proper' way. I reminded him that they had qualified for the Champions League for 20 consecutive seasons and reached one final. The amount of money that qualification raised, plus the players that helped attract gave Arsenal a massive advantage over most teams in the league. To the point where it appeared it was Wenger's sole target each season.

Loading up for us. Not them.
We could have league cup semis either side of this game
They have 2 free weeks either side
