What did you all think of Adam Johnson? I got the impression city fans did not seem to like him when he at the club or at least he was not liked as much as James milner.

i loved AJ, better than was allowed to be.

By giong to man city i think he destroyed his potential he needed to either stay at boro or go elsewhere where hed get played week in week out and not just from the bench so that he go and fulfil his potential when boro fans watched him in the later premiership years and early championship he was fantastic to watch and enjoying his football when he played regularly better than downing in fact.

He had plenty of chances. When he wanted to do it he could. For us he performed better when coming from the bench rather than starting

When they beat us 8-1. That was the day I decided Stephen Jordan was a lazy tw@t lol

But our one goal was the best of the nine!!

All that matters in the FArceCup is the 'home' bit! Would have preferred Dale but, hey, we can meet them in the next round!!!
Hopefully

AJ had a very good game for the Mackems against us last week. He seemed to combine the skill he has always had with being willing to pick out the easier pass and work back to support his fullback.

It is a shame AJ really didn't make it with us (although he had plenty of good games or spells as sub). He clearly has a lot more ability than Milner but without Milner's commitment and discipline.

Johnson never had a good full 90 minute performance for City from my recollection. His place as an impact sub was fully justified because that was the best way to use him. He's not been very good at Sunderland either except one purple patch when the idea of an England call-up was mooted before he went back to being ordinary.

It wasn't the club that was the problem. It pains me to say it but in my opinion Mancini destroyed his confidence & alcohol did the rest. AJ seems like he's the type of character who needs an arm around his shoulder.....not exactly Mancini's style.
