"Good luck on the day. We struggled against Shef Wed we may struggle against you"

Sheff Wed done us 3-2 at home earlier this season mate. The score line was kind to us. We were 3 down until they took their foot off the gas. Our 2 goals came from the penalty spot as well.

Hope we make a game of it.

Just looking at your fixtures. This game falls in between a couple of big league games for you so that might work in our favour.
The games are a week apart. I don't think that will be a factor.

It wouldn't surprise me if Boro rested players as the League is more important to you.

We played a weakened team versus Wednesday because of the Christmas and New Year fixtures, but City should be close to full strength for this game.

bubble well and truly burst now then

I reckon it's a decent draw (from a Boro point of view).
If i'm honest , i fully expect you (city) to go through , but it should be a decent test for us , to see how we cope against "superior" opposition.

On the Johnson subject - i was quite happy when you took him from us.
I thought he was a proper "Billy Big Boots" , and lazy too.
Only became a regular starter for us once we'd dropped into the championship.

Hope City win the league by the way - enjoy watching you on MOTD .
Really rate Edin Dzeko.
I liked AJ. He was exciting to watch. You knew exactly what he was going to do every time he got the ball, but opposing defences could not stop him. But he's gone downhill since he left City. Everyone told him to leave City, but that turned out to be a very bad move for him.

Dzeko is a player that divides opinion amongst City fans. In some ways he reminds me of Mark Viduka. A very talented big powerful player who doesn't always give everything physically.

Boro gave me some really bad memories. Every time we played you I thought this has to be our turn to beat you, and it rarely was. Hopefully this is a new era.

Boro are a club I don' really understand as sometime you get good crowds. The Riverside in the early years was packed, and then later on it was half empty. Seems to be picking up again now. I'll have to start watching your team now. To be honest I barely take a glance at the Championship nowadays.

We definitely won't have Yaya, as he's away with ACN.

This is a draw I'd liked to have avoided. I think we'll get beat.

It makes me laugh, all these people with long memories.

'Oooh, bloody hell, one of them Borough fans farted in my general direction 20 years ago, and I've hated them ever since'.

Christ, I was at Ayresome Park in 1975 when it kicked off, as it did at every ground back then.

So bloody what!

I'm sure it will be a grand day out, there will be no trouble, and may the best team win.

It would have been even funnier if we had drawn Millwall.

Lock up your daughters, Millwall are in town!

"d meet a father and son combo who owned a nightclub in Boro in Ibiza, in, I would guess, 2004. Interesting pair. Think they both had the same forename. I remember John Digweed had just finished his set, for some unfathomable reason. It's funny the things you remember."

It wasn't Barry Faulkner and his son Barry Faulkner Junior was it? They own The Empire in Boro and would have spent a lot of time in Ibiza through the years, proper characters!

So glad we're at home. Its never summertime up there.

Fog, snow, even the 8-1 game was freezing there. I remember changing out of shorts as we hit a micro climate past Thirsk. The temperature changed that much that the bottle of water I was drinking on the way up that tasted cold suddenly became tepid.

If we're professional we'll win, what we don't need is first team squad players swanning about.

The main part of my post was about them smashing into the North Stand. I mentioned it because it's been discussed about the trouble between the two sets of fans. You complain about long memories and then mention something that happened twenty years earlier before predictably dragging Millwall into the debate like being at a match against them is a badge of honour.

I get it, you were around when it was proper naughty and us young whipper snappers know fuck all. Please pm me with your list of approved subjects that I am allowed to comment on.

Wasn't there about 10,000 Boro at the Riverside last time we played them? A 1-0 away win in the FA Cup.

I love how you all refer to the Boro as Neanderthals judging us from games in the 70's and 80's where such behaviour was commonplace.

How about this one from your lot as recent as 2008?

<a class="postlink" href="http://www1.skysports.com/football/live/match/102770/report" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www1.skysports.com/football/live ... 770/report</a>

Small pockets of fighting broke out between City supporters and stewards at the end of the match, with some seats being ripped out and thrown on to the pitch. However, a strong police presence, which included dog handlers, soon quelled the violence.

Nonsense aside, it should be a good game. I'd expect City to win but it to be a tight game (1-0, 2-1?).
