I hate the way the broadcasters have the say on schedules, they should at least fund a couple of extra trains back to Manchester, bastards!

Considering the club get a broadcast fee, it might have been a nice gesture to lay on free coaches for this one.

We got the train. Escort picked us up at the station and marched us straight to the ground. They came at us from the motorway embankment, behind us, in front, completely surrounded us. It was like Custers last stand. Police horses riding shotgun in a circle while bricks and bottles rained down on us.

Survival mode couldn't be more accurate mate.

The buggers were chucking all sorts of things (including bricks) into the ground after the match.
As we we were kept in, with such a huge support, you could not move out of the way.
Nearly got battered on the hard shoulder of the motorway leading up to the M62. Was hitch-hiking back to Mcr and luckily got a lift before this group grabbed hold of me.
Great atmosphere though and a well-deserved win...

Did a wembley trips on one of those.
Set off from Etihad and went north via Leeds to get on M1.
About 3 hours after I set off from home I was still further North of my house.

Fair enough, remember coach travel was much, much cheaper then train travel.
If you use, early doors, the split-ticket websites, train travel can be a good alternative these days

Try booking them on the day like we did , absolute rip off be at least 5 times that price

As compared to £184.70, with no guaranteed seat, for an on the day single from London to Manchester?

Just checked, these are the prices for tonight/tomorrow early hours, which don’t seem outrageous.

Got a MAN-EUS return on split tickets site for £67. Out Friday lunch & back Saturday morning. Very luckily I have a pal in Cheshunt so staying at his then a very easy do on the Overground down to WHL. Just the actual match tickets to sort now.

We’ve never sold a charity shield out at Wembley, yet this year, we did. When no one thought we would.
Thousands of members took the tickets, and fair play to them. This is a great chance for people who don’t normally go to away games to get a ticket. The criteria tells you that.
