FA Cup 5th round draw - Huddersfield Town (Away)

It was during a game. Managers go on the pitch all the time when the game is over. I have never seen a manager celebrate a goal on the pitch. Nearest i can remember is when Kidd and Ferguson encroach on pitch after Bruce scores against Sheff Wed. mancini and Kidd run around their technical area when Aguero scores. No one goes in and joins in with the players celebration. That's unheard of.

If it happens every week, you give me some examples from the Premiership. I have never seen it.

Your memory is not up to much on a Monday morning ;) - even in one of your examples Mancini, the coaching staff, and all the substitutes were all on the pitch when Aguero scored against QPR. I literally haven't got the time or interest to list details of every time Mourinho and Klopp have done the exact same thing as Wagner, but they're not the only ones, there are British managers who have done it too.

There's nothing wrong with showing a bit of passion in my opinion. It could be perceived as winding up the opposition but who cares, its normally after a last minute winner or equaliser so they're gonna be angry regardless.

They were running around their own area, not running to join the players. I have never seen anything like that. I agree he's showing passion, but he is also the manager ofthe football club and you have to conduct yourself properly. I've never seen Mourinho or Klopp do that. Examples please. I repeat this is during the game.

All a bit of nothing really, nice to see a bit of passion and not giving 2 shits as you celebrate a huge win over your closest rivals.

Are you talking about Pleat running on the pitch at Maine Rd? That was after the game. This was whilst it was still on.

This was a local derby. Probably their biggest league game of the season. Imagine if Guardiola or Mourinho was to do that in a Manchester Derby, there'd be a riot, and the manager would get a very lengthy ban.

Wagner has already said it's the norm in Germany and considering the stakes and it being last minute it's fairly understandable that he did it, probably learned his lesson and won't repeat it but for me it was great to see, pure unadulterated joy. Monk was a dick for the way he behaved but again it's understandable in the heat of the moment.

No he doesn't. he runs down the touchline to celebrate a goal. He famously did that at Old Trafford when he was at Porto. This was on the field of play. I've veen watching football for 40 years and never seen that.

I've seen Mourinho grab his players and instruct them immediately after a goal is scored, but this was wild celebration. I am sure no offence or provocation was intended, but I still think it was totally unacceptable.

Monk was remarkably restrained. Serious disrespect. I imagine that was not intended but I wouldn't be happy if I was Gary Monk and I saw my counterpart running onto the pitch doing that. Absolutely ridiculous. I refuse to accept that that is normal behaviour for any coach in top flight football anywhere in the world. You score a goal, you immediately go about managing your team, trying to get them focused mentally because that is when you are vulnerable and you respect your opponent.

Restrained? It was fuck all to do with Monk, how was he being shown disrespect? What Monk did was calculated, he could have just stayed where he was and let Wagner get on with it, then have his say after the match. He couldn't though, he just had to step forward and cause the ensuing handbags, he was the one who brought it to a head and should be punished accordingly.

You refusing to accept something doesn't make you right, just makes you stubborn.

Chill ffs

If we score in the last minute agin the rags i INSIST that Pep & all the coaching staff + Bernard go crowd surfing........I'm 65 and I know I will be.

Stop being so fcuking precious
