FA Cup, Europa League or top 4.

I am a taxi driver in Stockholm, and i did drive a chelseasupporter and
ask him this question. and he did say that i want it all and refused
to even think of losing anything, will i ever meet a city supporter
with a fate like his,!

Clubs need the Champions League for Financial reasons - all except us who have money to burn. Therefore a Trophy for me is the more important. Nothing to do with the banner it's to do with glory and memories. I want to see my Team lift a trophy more than anything in the world.

Someone needs to have a word with you about UEFA's Financial Fair Play Criteria.

However, to be fair, if we don't qualify for the Champions League we can recoup the money to make us balance our books by selling Carlos Tevez!

If we get Top 4 this year the trophies will follow.

Much as I'd love a Cup right now, it can wait for a year or two now.

If the choice was about top four and never winning a trophy ever, it clearly would provide a different answer but that isn't the question.
 
we really do need a cup. what would the inplications be of another season in the europa cup, what efect would this be on the building of the club?
 
Just out of interest if we played a weak side against villa and lost and bobby came on tv afterwards and said " a cup would have been nice but for me top 4 is all that matters and the game against Wigan is more important"

Would everyone who says top 4 come on here and say "oh well never mind...we are

Absolutely. I mean, with the amount of time we've waited, what's another year or two?

As for 'who remembers finishing 2nd 3rd or 4th?', well maybe not that, but I'll bet Spurs fans will remember all their great Champs League nights that they've had the following season, so in that sense a top 4 finish IS memorable for what it brings.

(Some people may be doubting it with his recent form), but Torres is one I think we wanted and who in the summer at least was considered a level above Dzeko and was one we couldnt get to come cos we couldnt offer champions league, so i do think finishing in top 4 does give us a chance to sign a small elite group of players who are not turned by the money alone.

Having said all of that I can just imagine the media reaction if in our first season of the promised land of the champions league we are drawing crowds of 27,000.
 
It has to be top 4 but hey lets be greedy and win the FA cup. I have a feeling this could be a city v rags final. how good would it be to get rid of that banner by beating those twats in a final
