I agree with the broad concept of what you're saying but the club is usually pretty good at knowing how many tickets will be taken by SC holders. And many getting tickets through their OSC branch would probably have qualified anyway.

You could also argue that a season ticket holder who hadn't been to an FA Cup game shouldn't be entitled to a ticket before someone who didn't have a season ticket but might have been to some or all previous cup games.

I also understand that OSC's want to arrange travel, so you can't really keep them waiting till the last minute to see what tickets are left.

Never mind an argument. Let members join the cup schemes. Would solve a lot of problems. Would upset ST holders who like to pick and choose their cup games, but that is their choice.

I’m not sure about that. Do we know that the allocation is 30k because in the past it’s been less? A good number of those will be skimmed off to players, staff, corporates, sponsors etc. I posted earlier that I was told that we have 36k season ticket holders and the vast majority will buy a ticket even if it’s for someone else. I’ve been inundated with texts from blues asking if I can help. Given that I’d be surprised if it didn’t sell out to season ticket holders with a few thousand points. But the saving grace might just be those level two tickets which I think were £250 and will be the absolute last to sell.

I suppose you could cap the numbers at, say, 8000-10,000. Invite members to join on a first come, first served basis.

Any news yet on whether it's digital tickets or will print at home be available?
Also, one of our gang might not be able to make it but won't know until a day or two before the game. If I get a ticket for him how do I transfer it to someone else if he can't make it? He is on my F&F but the likely substitute isn't.

Not sure if this was a problem localised to us or whether it was user error but for the bayern game I was unable to transfer a ticket I purchased on my father's ST to my son.
Not sure if this applies to all cup games. Hopefully someone with more experience will know

The guy who sold me a ticket for the semi final had to go through City Help / Supporter Services to transfer the digital ticket. As you know, print st home tickets can just be forwarded by email.

My understanding is you can only transfer tickets if you are on the cup scheme so if he's not that's your answer if he is then I'd suggest it was a glitch which are quite common.

All because SC get them and distribute them to all on sundry. Plus wud not surprise me if ST holders who are members of SC can also get tickets via sale from City.

Once you have a ticket from a SC you cannot get a ticket from city as they have your name and number

Think that's correct my lad moved his cup scheme ticket for the Chelsea game to the fella I sit next to normally who isn't on the cup scheme.

He tried the usual way but it never arrived and had to contact the club to move it on.
