FA Cup Games 25/26/27 Jan

Poch worried about top four and Levy only thing he wants is top four because missing out on top is 50/60m leas money
Perhaps we should be grateful that our approach to cup games is not governed by the financial implications of winning or losing. Gullit just said “the FA Cup is special”. I’m afraid not everyone agrees Ruud

Spurs screwed by loads of injuries, unlucky for them really if I'm honest.
Could happen to any team.
Except, we lost arguably the best midfielder in the world and one of the best attacking fullbacks in the world for the first half of our season, with a few other key players also out here and there. And we’re still vying for medals in four competitions.

I think it is down to a tight purse and relatively poor management (even outside of the team and staff, see stadium debacle).

It needs a lot of things, but one of them is an injection of cash for prize winnings. It needs to be a competition that teams want (perhaps even need) to win from a financial perspective.

It won’t be able to compete with the CL, or even league promotion, of course, but it could be a substantially more attractive competition.

The issue will be how to procure such funding. Without it—and a few other sensible reforms—it will continue diminish in standing, as it has for years now.

Well, with the billions pumped into the PL now, can’t see it changing soon. The alarming part is the way some of the established top team in the league scoff at the competition when they’re knocked out. The excuse and rhetoric then coming into play being, ‘it was only the FA Cup or Carabao, we’ve got the league/champions league to worry about’.

What happened to wanting to win prizes/competitions as sports professionals? Like you said, something needs to be done.
