You know not being knee jerk here but we spent a decent wedge getting Philips from Leeds surely young Tommy could have filled that position instead..

Phillips is 28 in November, Doyle 22 in October. Those 6 years of difference are huge, and while the former is taking time to recover he will come good. If Doyle follows the club’s preferred trajectory, then he has every chance of returning and playing in midfield for us.
