Not had chance to read the entire thread, but am looking forward to reading the opinions of the agenda/conspiracy theorists in the morning.
You as fucking well.......

It's obvious. FA want a big derby cup final for 150 anniversary so we get easy draw as Utd will beat Chelsea and we weren't such a cert to beat them.

Leaving aside our obvious preference it'd be hilarious if they ended up with Chelsea-Millwall.

Can I use a Kindle instead?

Kindles are the spawn of satan, haven't you heard about global warming mate? A good old fashioned book, made from recycled paper is much more environmentally friendly.

Kids these days! (shakes head in disbelief)

Clarkie? And paperbacks get into shops by magic I guess.... No fossil fuels involved whereas kindle books arrive through the ether of the interweb.... A wind up or rather flawed logic....

Well chuffed with Barnsley at home btw

I too am well chuffed with Barnsley at home, but my comments were not even close to being a Clarkie I'm afraid.

Whilst I agree with you that the process of recycling paper, turning it into books and delivering said books to retail outlets is by no means carbon neautral; the simple fact that the process recycles valuable and increasingly more scarce materials ...(ie - not destroying any more of the oxygen rich, green lungs of the Earth)... instead of using extra materials, along with the fact that once the product has been produced there is no ongoing additional energy consumption connected to the use of the product, ought to illustrate why my arguement is not flawed.

Also, the amount of energy consummed during the process highlighted above pales into insignificance when layed alongside the energy consumed by the production and use of portable electronic devices. They're generally plugged in almost every night to recharge, you need an electronic device in order to order/recieve them, and the process of recycling the metals and plastics used in the manufacture of the actual devices when they have become useless (broken/out lived its usefulness/etc.) is much much less energy efficient than the equivalent process for paper. Add onto this the energy used to create the device in the first place and you ought to be able to see which side of the "carbon scales" is heaviest.

Whilst we are still creating energy by burning fossil fuels instead of alternative energy sources, ANYTHING which involves the supply of power to simply use it is a step in the wrong direction, remember the your 3R's - REDUCE, RE-USE, RECYCLE.

As far a logic is concerned, I am almost never flawed (very, very flawed in other areas though) :)

Cheers Blue Punter ,am hoping for Saturday !

Just googled "Barnley fc" and it seems to be already arranged/suggested that it'll be 12:00 on the Saturday.

Very strange as i thought we had drawn Barnsley

I am perhaps as guilty as you for responding but one thing that pisses me off is the spelling Police.
What the f""k do you add to the post by correcting spelling.
We are talking a football topic, and because a poster hits the wrong key or maybe is not the best speller in the world smart arses like you come on and add nothing to the topic.
Do you sit there waiting for the mistake so you can get in.
Keep it to the subject or P"""s off

Nice draw just a shame the rags didn't get chelsea away but let's hope chelsea knock the bastards out

People will say it's arrogant to think we're already in the semi but I imagine pretty much anyone who knows their stuff would expect us to beat barnsley at home without too much trouble

Great draw and I see the Barnsley fans are already getting all giddy about their big day out on their forums.

I actually think they'll give us a much tougher game than their far more famous neighbours but our FA Cup displays this season have been bang on the money and we really should be making Wembley plans unless something mad happens.

Historically, the FA Cup is our favorite tournament as a club. Five times already and it could have been more were it not for a certain Ricky Villa.

Are you sure it wasn't Ricky Silva?

Had a look at the Tykes boards and they are well chuffed..

Apart from the pure financial return it sure beats watching your team play Millwall, Hudds and Peterborough I guess.
