It was midweek too I think I remember walking to the ground alongside the river

Definitely a Saturday afternoon, 3pm KO . As nearly all matches were in those days.

The 76-77 game was a Saturday but we might have played them on a Friday night the following season. Our last two competitive games there were midweek as they were League Cup.

Not sure however a coincidence or a bad omen ( you decide) we beat Arsenal 1 nil in the previous game. I was 8 and it was my 2nd City game

IIRC last time there were 2 televised on one night with slightly different KO times eg 7.15 and 8pm - so could be 4 or 5 televised, but maybe I’m getting confused with covid era matches.

That's what Amazon Prime do with midweek games so you could be right.

Unfortunately there are probably more plastic united and cult fans than support the local sides. Rugby is big there as well

Oh I like that stat. May use it in one of my quizzes. Presumably we’re talking in terms of population?

I don’t like this talk as if football was invented in 1992 but it does create a whole new bunch of good quiz question opportunities.
