The 1-0 defeat was a Saturday afternoon. The following season we played there on a Friday night to avoid a clash with Rovers FA Cup tie. 2-2 draw.

Wouldn't mind going to another FA Cup final. It'd be my fifth. Well; four and a half, I suppose. Saw the draw in '81, but not the replay, unfortunately. Along with Stoke, Wigan and Watford.

When do we think the TV companies will tell us when we're playing?

Yeah and comparative backwaters like Burnley, Bournemouth, Oldham, Wigan, Bradford etc have all been the PL
Bristol is a much bigger city than all them places

Yeah don't disagree just get fed up of 1992 being a marker for the beginning of records.

I imagine, In a day or so, certainly by the end of the week, with ticket details out start of next week.

Soon I would think, the standout ties are ours, Wrexham/Sheff U v Spurs, possibly Sunderland v Leeds and we all know the rags will be one. I can't see more than 3 being televised, Tues/Wed/Thurs.

When Manchester United have informed the BBC & ITV which is their preferred time to appear on TV

IIRC last time there were 2 televised on one night with slightly different KO times eg 7.15 and 8pm - so could be 4 or 5 televised, but maybe I’m getting confused with covid era matches.

I was very lucky in that my Dad managed to get 2 tickets for the 69 Final of an employee at Maine Road.
We went down to London on a coach from Middleton.
My younger brother (who was 10 at the time) couldn't go and he still goes on about it now,54 years later.

My old man couldn't get seats so knew standing tickets were no good for a little lad so I got to see a Mickey Mouse film.
