FA Cup Semi Final draw - Brighton

The match day prices for non season ticket holders are an absolute disgrace, the club have seen their arse re the Cardiff returned tickets and have been forced to charge a lot less than normal to sell them perhaps they could reduce tickets across the board and make a serious effort to attract ordinary Mancunians to the matches.
I just been on website against Cardiff some tickets over £50. Against Leicester with co orperate hospitality over at the Academy and a nice seat £360 ,don't think they are arsed about attracting ordinary Manucnians to be honest

You are absolutely spot on about the increase in our national fan base, it has barely changed since the takeover and the success. Contrary to what people say adults do not change their footballing allegiances and we do not have hordes of fans scattered around the country, our out of towners are ever exiled Mancunians or non mancunians who seem to have supported City for years. The club hasn't a clue about our support and the demographics.
I don't think you do. I remember sitting down on the Kippax terrace watching City. Last season City had over 125,000 different supporters in the home end.

I agree the match-day prices are ridiculous but the stadium is full and 80% season-ticketed so even if City wanted to, they couldn't attract ordinary Mancunians to the ground if they wanted to. What are ordinary Mancunians by the way? Look at City's match-going crowd. It's full of very decent, hard-working people. We don't need to change anything about our fan-base. It's sound and the very best thing about this club. Always has been.

Whenever I have a difficult week, or I am feeling bad, just walking up to City and being in the presence of City fans, makes me happy. MCFC always defined who we were. There were times when it really was hard but these are happy times. Make the most of our time at the top.

Look at clubs like Arsenal now. Not doing too bad, but their era is over. Nothing lasts forever so don't pass up moments. I missed the League Cup Final this season and regretted it so even though it's going to be inconvenient I am going to Wembley. Come the day or so before, I'll be buzzing as I will be on match-day walking down Wembley way.

Was that the Blackburn 0-2 in Reidy's last game?, i seem to remember doing the same.

if you take away the season ticket holders that leaves 80,000 bearing in mind at least a third and probably closer to 50% of season ticket holders don't seem to attend CL games then you have the lions share of the 80,000 going to these games. To my eyes on CL a lot of these people filling the gaps of non attending ST holders don't strike me as City fans, many are foreign and just enjoy the chance to watch the CL. There are also certain games in cup competitions when the take up is slow that tickets are given to schools/ clubs etc so the actual number of genuine city fans in the 80,000 i'd argue is considerably lower.

Rang me 3 or 4 times in last 2 weeks, desperate to sell me hospitality(Leicester/Spurs etc etc) ,told him loads of times I'm happy in my own seat and people around me,he can't take the hint,I'm not interested in sitting next to Khaldoun, unless he's paying

Tourism would be a very interesting topic because of course you don't really mean genuine tourists. I like the fact that City are popular. I would also really question whether just because someone is new to City, and they speak with a foreign accent means that they aren't passionate supporters. I know some City fans travel a long way to support City so you should be a bit more generous.

I’m not embarrassed I said it’s embarassing which it is , it’s the semi final of the fa cup !!! If people want to pick and choose why not swerve the league cup final ? What kind of message does it send to the players running out to a half empty end ?? So is everyone going to miss the final cos of the pricing or kick off time ?? No cos they WANT to be there for the glory , my point is everyone knows these fixture are coming up so why not plan ahead it’s the same every year !! My point is we’ve got the fans because we’ve sold out every Wembley trip to date but too many just simply can not be arsed , can not wait for the thread on here people moaning about not getting a ticket for the final if we get there !!

If you think the reason people are giving the semi a miss is cos they can’t be arsed, then you’re either daft or on the wum. City has one of the poorest (in terms of disposable income) fanbases in the country, and the long and the short is that many people cannot afford it at a time when there are so many other competing footballing priorities (Chelsea, Spurs, and potential semis and finals in the Chimps League)
