When we don’t sell out we have no fans. When we do we are all new fans and plastics.... we can’t win
I think it’s shown that our core fan base is very much working class and from the greater Manchester area.we do not have the same fan as was other teams. Nothing to be ashamed of. I actually prefer it
There’s a world of difference between Liverpool and City core support
There’s only Utd & Liverpool in England who have the volume of supporters countrywide who can be relied upon to snap up any tickets
Spurs Chelsea & Arsenal have the London tourists to pick up the slack whereas City are mainly a localised fan base and simply haven’t picked up any meaningful tourist support in this country yet. Tourists in the north west will still go to Liverpool & Utd first as that’s where the history is.
At City it’s generally the same people who are going to all the games, the away games especially with the loyalty points making getting tickets very difficult for new or younger supporters but the city is a relatively poor one so it’s understandable that people have to start picking and choosing the games they go to
I’ve spent over £8k this season just on tickets travel and accommodation,it’s a very expensive hobby
I think there should be more understanding on why there are so many empty seats, the average working man just can’t afford to go to every game
I’m at Wembley Saturday ticket & train £120
Spurs on Tuesday ticket & train £140
Palace next Sunday ticket & train £110
£370 in a week on just tickets & travel
