As a tourist/day tripper myself the possible high ticket price puts me off. I'd rather go to the Etihad than watch from the nosebleed seats at Wembley. Would think there'd be no shortage of punters wanting to see Haaland to take up the slack though.

Last train back to Manchester is 9.00pm, back to Sheffield is 9.30. Hopefully the powers that be take that into account and make it a sensible ko time and not a late one. Fed up of having to rush back to catch the only available train.

It was but I don't think there was a league programme of 3pm fixtures that day so the blackout didn't apply. There were matches but IIRC none of them clashed with ours

The FA lifted the ban for that one day only due to a combination of the train situation and also that there were no football league fixtures at all scheduled for 3 pm that Saturday. Just three Premier League games.

I’m certain this year will be back to 5 something KO.

Yes. Rags play in Europe the Thursday night before and Sheffield United have a league game the following Tuesday so it cant be on a Sunday

If £30 + £20 + £20. That is cheaper than a league game, except for the cheap prices on offer for cat C games at the beginning of the season.

We usually stay in Kenton for Wembley trips, got the Sunday booked which we can cancel. The Saturday is fully booked and all the hotels round there are either booked or would require removal of a limb. Anybody got any other places they use? With parking and close to tube?
